To reset most Hornbill locks, remove one battery to power down, then press and hold the reset button (often located on the back panel circuit board) while reinserting the battery. Keep holding the button for about 10–15 seconds until you hear a voice prompt indicating 'Initialization successful'.
Download the specific app for your model (commonly 'TTLock' or 'Smart Life'), create an account, and turn on Bluetooth. Wake up the lock keypad by touching it, then tap 'Add Device' in the app and follow the on-screen prompts.
Ensure the deadbolt is installed correctly (often with the 'UP' arrow facing upwards) and that the strike plate is aligned so the bolt extends fully without obstruction. Also, check that the auto-lock feature is configured correctly in the app settings.
Most Hornbill smart locks require 4 AA alkaline batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries, as they may not provide consistent voltage pour un fonctionnement fiable.
In the companion app, navigate to 'Settings' or 'Member Management', select 'Add Fingerprint', and follow the instructions to place your finger on the sensor multiple times until the system successfully captures the print.
