GLOSSAIRE

CÈPE

• Circular Error Probable: a statistical measure used to describe the accuracy of a positioning system, commonly used in the context of GNSS.
• CEP represents the radius of a circle, centered on the true position, within which a given percentage (généralement 50%) des positions mesurées devraient chuter.

COLD start

• A HOT start occurs when the GNSS receiver has all the necessary information to calculate a position fix readily available.
• This includes the almanac and ephemeris data, the approximate time, and its last known position.

IMEI

• International Mobile Equipment Identity: a unique numeric identifier used by networks to identify devices.

Nitz

• Network Identity and Time Zone: a mechanism in GSM, used to provision time, date and other parameters to mobile devices in a network.

NTP

• Network Time Protocol: a networking protocol for clock synchronization between computer systems.

SELV

• Sécurité à très faible voltage : un système électrique dans lequel le voltage ne peut pas dépasser 50 VCA ou 120 VCC dans des conditions normales et dans des conditions de défaut unique, y compris les défauts à la terre dans d'autres circuits.

Enregistrer

• AVL data stored in device memory. AVL data contains GNSS and I/O information.

WARM start

• A WARM start occurs when the GNSS receiver has some, but not all, of the necessary information for a position fix.
• It might have valid almanac data but needs to download new ephemeris data or doesn’t have an accurate estimate of its current time or position.

SIM card should be inserted in the module while the connector is unplugged off (while the module has no power).

CONNAISSEZ VOTRE APPAREIL

CONFIGURER VOTRE APPAREIL

1. Remove top cover (1)
   You will receive your device with covers closed. Use a pry tool and open one side of the top cover.
2. Remove top cover (2)
   Turn the device. Use a pry tool and open the other side of top cover. Gently remove top cover.
3. Insérer la carte SIM
   Insert SIM card as shown.
   Make sure the Nano-SIM card cut-off corner is pointing towards SIM slot.
4. Connecter la batterie
   Connect battery by pressing the connector firmly to socket, ensuring that both sides of the connector lock properly.
5. Re-attach top cover
   Please note: Before attaching the back cover, ensure the device is configured via USB. The USB port on the PCB will be inaccessible once the cover is fully attached. More details can be found in the configuration chapter 1.

CONNEXION PC (WINDOWS)

1. Power up FTC924 with DC voltagAlimentation e (10-30V) par fils d'alimentation. Les LED devraient commencer à clignoter.

COMMENT INSTALLER LES PILOTES USB (WINDOWS)

1. Download COM port drivers from here.
2. Extrayez et exécutez TeltonikaCOMDriver.exe.
3. Cliquez sur Suivant dans la fenêtre d'installation du pilote.
4. In the following window, clickthe  Install button.
5. Le programme d'installation continue d'installer le pilote et la fenêtre de confirmation apparaîtra. Cliquez sur Terminer pour terminer l'installation.

CONFIGURATION (WINDOWS)

• La plupart des appareils Teltonika sont livrés avec des paramètres d'usine par défaut. Utilisez l'outil de configuration télématique (TCT)¹ pour modifier ces paramètres selon vos besoins.

TCT

1. Télécharger le TCT (archive compressée).
2. Extrayez l'archive et lancez le fichier exécutable. TCT sera installé.
3. Lancer le TCT.
4. Dans la liste des appareils détectés, sélectionnez votre appareil et appuyez sur Configurer.
5. La fenêtre d'état de l'appareil s'ouvre. Elle contient des informations sur l'appareil, le GNSS et le réseau cellulaire.

• Enregistrer sur l’appareil – enregistre la configuration sur l’appareil.
• Télécharger file – charge la configuration depuis file.
• Ajouter à la file – enregistre la configuration dans file.
• Mettre à jour – mettre à jour le micrologiciel de l'appareil.
• Réinitialiser la configuration – définit la configuration de l’appareil sur les valeurs par défaut.

CONFIGURATION SMS RAPIDE

• The default configuration ensures the best track quality and optimal data usage.

PARAMÈTRES DE CONFIGURATION PAR DÉFAUT

After successful SMS configuration, the FTC924 device will synchronize time and update records to the configured server. Time intervals and default I/O elements can be changed by using TCT1 or SMS parameters 2.

RECOMMANDATIONS DE MONTAGE

FILS DE CONNEXION

• Wires should be fastened to the other wires or non-moving parts. Do not place the wires near moving or heat-emitting objects.
• All electrical connections must be properly isolated. No bare wires should be visible. Re-apply isolation to wires if you removed factory isolation during installation.
• Si les fils sont placés à l'extérieur ou dans des endroits où ils peuvent être endommagés ou exposés à la chaleur, à l'humidité, à la saleté, etc., une isolation supplémentaire doit être appliquée.
• Do not connect any wires to the vehicle’s board computer or control unit.

BRANCHEMENT DE LA SOURCE D'ALIMENTATION

• Ensure that after the car computer falls asleep, power is still available on the chosen wire. Depending on car, this may happen in 5 to 30-minute period.
• When the module is connected, measure voltage again to make sure it did not decreased.
• Il est recommandé de se connecter au câble d'alimentation principal dans la boîte à fusibles.
• Utiliser un fusible externe 3A, 125V.

CONNEXION DU FIL D'ALLUMAGE

• Make sure that you have selected the correct wire for the ignition signal – the electrical signal from the wire should be present after starting the engine.
• Check if this is not an ACC wire (when key is in the first position, most of the vehicle electronics are ON).
• Check if power is still available when you turn off any of the vehicle’s devices.
• L'allumage est connecté à la sortie du relais d'allumage. Comme alternative, tout autre relais, qui a une puissance de sortie lorsque le contact est mis, peut être choisi.

CONNEXION DU FIL DE TERRE

• Ground wire must be connected to the vehicle frame or metal parts that are fixed to the frame.
• Si le fil est fixé avec le boulon, la boucle doit être connectée à l'extrémité du fil.
• Pour un meilleur contact, frottez la peinture de l'endroit où la boucle va être connectée.

EMPLACEMENT DE MONTAGE OPTIMAL

• Mount the FTC924 under the plastic panel behind the front window, with the sticker/engraving facing towards the window (sky).
