It is recommended to clean your humidifier weekly. Empty the tank and base, then clean surfaces with undiluted white vinegar to remove mineral scale. To disinfect, use a solution of 1 teaspoon bleach per gallon of water, soak for 20 minutes, and rinse thoroughly until the bleach smell is gone.
Ensure the unit is plugged in, the tank has water, and it is placed on a flat, level surface. Mineral buildup on the nebulizer or water sensor can also stop mist production; clean these parts gently with vinegar. Additionally, using very cold water may temporarily reduce mist output.
