The MechMaxx DCH7 is a robust wood chipper designed for processing wood and branches up to 7 inches in diameter. It is powered by a reliable Honda GX690 22HP 688cc Twin Cylinder Gasoline Engine, featuring a dual variable speed hydraulic infeed system for efficient material processing.

2. Consignes de sécurité

• Always read and understand the entire instruction manual before operating the wood chipper.

• Keep all bystanders, children, and pets at a safe distance (at least 50 feet) from the operating area.

• The emergency stop bar is located on the feeding drum. In case of emergency or equipment malfunction, push this bar to quickly stop the machine.
• Ensure tail lights are functional when transporting the unit on public roads.

3. Configuration et assemblage

3.1 Déballage et inspection

3.2 Wheel and Trailer Bar Installation

Attach the two 5.3-12 tubeless rear wheels and the front wheel as per the assembly diagrams provided in the separate assembly guide. Secure the trailer bar for transport or positioning.

3.3 Préparation du moteur

4. Mode d'emploi

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your DCH7 Wood Chipper.

4.1 Démarrage du moteur

1. Ensure the chipper is on a level surface and the emergency stop bar is disengaged.
2. Tournez le robinet d'essence sur la position « ON ».
3. Set the choke lever (if cold starting).
4. Turn the ignition key to the 'START' position. Release when the engine starts.
5. Once the engine is running, gradually move the choke lever to the 'OFF' position.

4.2 Matières premières

The DCH7 features a 7.5x6.5 inch feed roller and dual variable speed hydraulic infeed system. It can handle wood or branches with a maximum diameter of 7 inches.

• Always feed material butt-end first.
• Do not force material into the feeder. The hydraulic infeed will pull the material automatically.
• Use the three-gear control bar to manage the feeding speed and direction (Motor Reversal, Motor Advance, Motor Stopped).
• Never reach into the feed chute while the machine is running.

4.3 Discharge Chute Adjustment

The 360° rotary discharge chute and adjustable deflector allow for precise debris discharge. Adjust the chute direction and deflector angle to direct chipped material as needed.

4.4 Arrêt

1. Laissez le moteur tourner au ralenti pendant quelques minutes pour qu'il refroidisse.
2. Tournez la clé de contact sur la position « ARRÊT ».
3. Tournez le robinet d'essence sur la position « ARRÊT ».

5.1 Entretien du moteur

Refer to the Honda GX690 engine manual for detailed maintenance schedules. Key tasks include:

• Changements d'huile : Check oil level before each use and change oil at recommended intervals.
• Filtre à air : Nettoyez ou remplacez régulièrement le filtre à air, surtout en cas de poussière.

5.2 Entretien de la lame

The chipper is equipped with 2pcs 8'' blades and 2pcs 6'' anvil made of A8(5Cr8MoVSi) material. Sharp blades are crucial for efficient chipping.

• Inspect blades for sharpness and damage before each use.
• Blades can be sharpened or replaced. The discharge chute can be fully opened for easier access during maintenance and blade replacement.
