4. Installation

4.1. Installation et chargement de la batterie

Alignez la batterie de 2600 mAh avec le compartiment à batterie situé à l'arrière de la radio.
Faites glisser la batterie en place jusqu'à ce qu'elle s'enclenche correctement.
To charge, connect the supplied Type-C USB charging cable to the USB-C port on the radio and to a compatible USB power source.

4.2. Fixation de l'antenne

Vissez l'antenne dans le sens horaire sur le connecteur d'antenne situé en haut de la radio jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit serrée à la main. Ne serrez pas trop fort.

4.3. Mise sous tension initiale

Tournez le bouton marche/arrêt/volume dans le sens horaire pour allumer la radio. Continuez à tourner pour régler le volume.

4.4. App Pairing (Bluetooth Connectivity)

The UV-PRO can be paired with the BTECH UV Programmer App available on iOS and Android for enhanced control and features.

Follow the in-app instructions to search for and connect to your UV-PRO radio.

5. Mode d'emploi

5.1. Basic Radio Operation

Sélection de fréquence : Use the keypad or navigation buttons to enter desired frequencies within the VHF (136-174 MHz) and UHF (400-520 MHz) bands.
Transmission (PTT) : Pour émettre, maintenez enfoncé le bouton Push-To-Talk (PTT) situé sur le côté de la radio. Relâchez-le pour recevoir.
Navigation dans les menus : Use the 'Menu' button and arrow keys to access and adjust radio settings.

5.2.2. GPS and Text Messaging

Utilize the built-in GPS for location services and share your coordinates. Send and receive text messages directly from the radio or through the paired BTECH UV Programmer App.

5.2.3. Aviation Band Scanner

The UV-PRO can receive frequencies in the aviation band (108-136 MHz), allowing you to monitor air traffic communications.

5.2.4. Alertes météo de la NOAA

Stay informed about severe weather conditions with real-time NOAA weather alerts. The radio can be configured to automatically alert you to broadcasts on NOAA weather radio channels.

5.2.5. Frequency Sync Rapid Scanning

This feature allows for quick detection and locking onto active frequencies in your vicinity, useful for identifying local communications.

5.2.6. Audio Relay Function

The radio includes an audio relay (parrot) function that receives and retransmits received audio, extending communication range or bridging different frequencies.

5.2.7. Bluetooth KISS TNC

The integrated Bluetooth KISS TNC allows the UV-PRO to interface with external devices (e.g., computers) for packet radio operations, enabling advanced data communication.

6. Entretien

6.1. Soins généraux

Ensure the USB-C port cover is always sealed when not charging to maintain the IP67 rating.

7. Dépannage

Problème	Cause possible	Solution
La radio ne s'allume pas.	La batterie est faible ou n'est pas installée correctement.	Rechargez la batterie ou réinstallez-la correctement.
Impossible de transmettre.	Incorrect frequency/channel, low battery, or PTT button issue.	Verify frequency, charge battery, or check PTT button. Ensure you have the necessary license to transmit.
Mauvaise qualité audio.	Antenna loose, low signal, or volume too low.	Check antenna connection, move to an area with better signal, adjust volume.
L'application ne se connecte pas via Bluetooth.	Bluetooth off on phone/radio, radio not in pairing mode, or app issue.	Ensure Bluetooth is on, restart radio and app, try re-pairing.
