5. Installation
5.1 Initial Gearbox Oil Fill
Before operating the mower for the first time, it is critical to fill the gearbox with the specified oil. Failure to do so will result in severe damage to the gearbox and void the warranty.
- Locate the oil filler hole on the gearbox (refer to Figure 2.1).
- Retirez le bouchon de remplissage.
- Carefully add 1.20 liters (1.27 quarts) of 85W-90 gearbox oil.
- Replacez bien le bouchon de remplissage.
5.2 Attelage au tracteur
The FM180 mower is designed for easy attachment to Category 1 tractors with a 3-point hitch system.
- Position the tractor in front of the mower, aligning the 3-point hitch arms with the mower's attachment points.
- Connect the lower lift arms of the tractor to the mower's lower pins, securing them with appropriate pins.
- Connect the top link of the tractor to the mower's upper attachment point, securing it with a pin.
- Connect the PTO driveshaft from the tractor to the mower's gearbox input shaft. Ensure the quick coupler PTO with shear pin is properly engaged and secured.
- Verify all connections are secure and that the PTO shaft has sufficient clearance throughout the tractor's lift range.

6. Mode d'emploi
6.1 Contrôles préopératoires
- Assurez-vous que tous les dispositifs de sécurité sont en place et bien fixés.
- Check gearbox oil level.
- Inspect blades for sharpness and damage. Replace or sharpen as needed.
- Clear the mowing area of any debris, rocks, or obstacles that could be thrown by the blades.
6.2 Réglage de la hauteur de coupe
The cutting height can be adjusted from 0.4 inches to 4.5 inches using the adjustable wheel brackets.
- Park the tractor and mower on a level surface, disengage the PTO, shut off the engine, and remove the key.
- Adjust the pins on each wheel bracket to raise or lower the mower deck to the desired cutting height. Ensure all four wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
- Secure the pins firmly in place.
6.3 Mowing Procedure
- Start the tractor and slowly engage the PTO.
- Lower the mower to the desired cutting height.
- Begin mowing at a slow, steady pace. Avoid sudden turns or excessive speed, especially on uneven terrain.
- Overlap each pass slightly to ensure complete coverage.
- When finished, raise the mower, disengage the PTO, shut off the tractor engine, and remove the key.
7. Entretien
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your MechMaxx FM180 mower.

- Clean the mower deck to remove grass clippings and debris.
- Inspect blades for damage, wear, or looseness. Tighten or replace as necessary.
