1. Introduction

The XRCLIF Wood Moisture Meter is a versatile digital instrument designed to accurately measure the moisture content of various materials, including wood, paper, cardboard, and construction materials like walls, concrete, and drywall. This device is an essential tool for wood processing manufacturers, flooring installers, DIY enthusiasts, inspectors, and lumber suppliers, providing precise readings to aid in informed decision-making for projects.

• Built-in Pins: Utilisé pour pénétrer le matériau afin de mesurer son humidité.

4. Installation

4.1. Installation de la batterie

The XRCLIF Wood Moisture Meter requires two AA batteries for operation. Ensure you use fresh alkaline batteries for optimal performance.

1. Locate the leather cover at the bottom of the meter.
2. Gently remove the leather cover to access the battery compartment.
3. Insérez deux piles AA en respectant la polarité correcte (+/-) indiquée à l'intérieur du compartiment.
4. Replace the leather cover securely.

5. Mode d'emploi

5.1. Marche/Arrêt

• Pour allumer le compteur, maintenez enfoncée la touche PRISE button for approximately 2 seconds. The LCD display will illuminate.
• The meter features an automatic power-off function to conserve battery life. It will turn off after a period of inactivity.
• Pour éteindre manuellement l'appareil, appuyez sur le bouton et maintenez-le enfoncé. PRISE Appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton jusqu'à ce que l'écran s'éteigne.

5.2. Material Selection (Wood Groups / Construction Material)

The meter offers different modes for various materials to ensure accurate readings.

1. With the meter powered on, press the MODE button to cycle through the available material types.
2. The display will show indicators like "TREE" for wood or "BLDG" for construction materials, along with a number (1-8 for wood groups, or a specific indicator for construction material).
3. Refer to the meter's internal wood group chart (if available in the full manual) to select the appropriate group for the wood you are testing.

To obtain an accurate moisture reading:

2. Carefully push the pins into the material you wish to measure. Ensure both pins penetrate the surface adequately for good contact.

5.6. Fonction de conservation des données

Pour figer la lecture actuelle affichée :

• Appuyez brièvement sur la touche PRISE button while a measurement is being taken. The "HOLD" icon will appear on the display.
• Appuyez sur le PRISE Appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton pour libérer la lecture et revenir au mode de mesure en direct.

• Nettoyage: Essuyez le compteur avec un chiffon doux et sec. N’utilisez pas de nettoyants abrasifs ni de solvants.
• Stockage: Always replace the protective cap over the pins when not in use. Store the meter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
