Consignes de sécurité
Always prioritize safety when operating any marine equipment.
- Always disconnect power to the motor before performing any maintenance, propeller changes, or inspections.
- Keep hands, feet, and clothing clear of the propeller when the motor is in operation or connected to power.
- Use only recommended battery types (24V deep cycle battery) and ensure proper voltage.
- Be aware of your surroundings and other vessels when operating the trolling motor.
- Do not attempt to modify the motor or its components, as this may void the warranty and create safety hazards.
Composants terminésview
The HASWING Electric Trolling Motor system includes several key components for optimal performance and control.

Figure 1: Key Components of the HASWING Cayman Trolling Motor. This diagram illustrates the main parts of the trolling motor, including the wireless remote controller, depth collar, deploy/stow pedal, optional wired foot controller, sacrificial anode, DD brush motor, and individual fin.
- Télécommande sans fil : For wireless control of speed and steering.
- Depth Collar: Allows adjustment of the motor's depth in the water.
- Deploy/Stow Pedal: Enables easy deployment and stowing of the motor.
- Wired Foot Controller (Optional): Provides an alternative wired control method.
- Anode sacrificielle : Protects the motor from corrosion in saltwater environments.
- DD Brush Motor: The main propulsion unit.
- Individual Fin: Protects the propeller and motor from underwater impacts.

The HASWING Cayman trolling motor is designed for bow mounting.
- Position the motor mount securely on the bow of your boat, ensuring it is centered and stable.
- Use appropriate marine-grade fasteners to attach the mount to the boat's deck. Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the motor's weight and thrust.
- Once the mount is secure, attach the trolling motor to the mount according to the specific instructions provided with your mounting bracket (if purchased separately).
Connexion électrique
This motor operates on a 24V system. It requires two 12V deep cycle batteries connected in series, or a single 24V deep cycle battery.
- Ensure the batteries are fully charged before initial use.
- Connect the positive (+) terminal of the motor's power cable to the positive (+) terminal of your 24V battery system.
- Connect the negative (-) terminal of the motor's power cable to the negative (-) terminal of your 24V battery system.
- Verify all connections are tight and corrosion-free. It is recommended to use marine-grade connectors and heat shrink tubing for protection.
- Install an appropriate circuit breaker or fuse (not included) in the positive line, close to the battery, to protect the system from overcurrent.
Réglage de la profondeur
Adjust the motor's depth using the depth collar on the shaft. Loosen the collar, slide the motor to the desired depth, and then tighten the collar securely. The propeller should be submerged sufficiently to avoid cavitation but not so deep as to hit obstacles.
Mode d'emploi
Déploiement et rangement du moteur
To deploy the motor, press the deploy/stow pedal and gently lower the motor into the water. To stow, press the pedal and lift the motor out of the water, securing it in its stowed position.

Utilisation de la télécommande
The wireless remote control allows for convenient operation from anywhere on the boat.
- Marche/Arrêt : Use the designated buttons to turn the motor on or off.
- Contrôle de vitesse : Adjust the motor speed using the variable speed controls. This allows for precise adjustments from slow trolling to faster propulsion.
- Pilotage: The remote provides 360-degree electric steering control. Use the directional buttons to steer the boat.
- Régulateur de vitesse : Engage cruise control to maintain a constant speed, freeing you to focus on fishing. Refer to the remote's specific instructions for activating this feature.
The LED battery power reader on the motor provides a quick visual indication of your battery's charge status. Monitor this regularly to avoid unexpected power loss.
Entretien
- Après chaque utilisation : Rinse the motor, especially the lower unit and propeller, with fresh water to remove salt, dirt, and debris.
- Anode sacrificielle : Inspect the sacrificial anode periodically. If it is significantly corroded (more than 50% consumed), replace it to ensure continued protection against electrolysis, especially in saltwater.
- Connexions électriques : Periodically check all electrical connections for corrosion, tightness, and wear. Clean and re-tighten as necessary.
- Stockage: When storing the motor for extended periods, ensure it is clean, dry, and stored in a cool, dry place. Disconnect batteries.
