3. Compatibilité
The 820CB garage opener Safety Sensor is a direct replacement for ALL 1997-current operators equipped with the Safety Sensor option, identifiable by the AMBER LED light of the Security+ system.
This sensor is compatible with a wide range of garage door opener models, including but not limited to:
- Chamberlain models: 1265, 2210, 2220, 2265, 2265-267, 2280, 2500, 2580, PD210, PD212, PD420, PD420-2, PD460, PD610, PD612, PD612K, and others.

5. Configuration et installation
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: Before installing the Safety Reverse Sensor, ensure the garage door opener is NOT connected to a power source. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker or unplug the unit to prevent electrical shock or accidental door operation.
5.1 Mounting the Sensors
The safety reversing sensors must be mounted on the door track, approximately 6 inches (15 cm) above the floor. Ensure they are securely fastened and aligned to function correctly.
- Locate the existing sensor mounting points on the garage door tracks.
- Attach the sensors to the door track using the provided screws. If your kit includes brackets, attach the brackets first, then secure the sensors to them.
- Position the sending sensor (yellow LED) on one side of the garage door opening and the receiving sensor (green LED) directly opposite it, ensuring they face each other.

5.2 Wiring the Sensors
Connect the sensor wires to the garage door opener's terminal block. The wires are polarity sensitive, so ensure correct connection:
- Each sensor has two wires. Separate the ends of these wires.
- Connect one wire from each sensor to the common terminal on your garage door opener (typically white or striped).
- Connect the other wire from each sensor to the safety sensor terminal on your garage door opener (typically red or black).
- Use the provided wire connectors to ensure secure and insulated connections.
For convenience, you can combine the wires from both sensors at a central point (e.g., above the garage door) and then run a single set of wires back to the garage door opener.
5.3 Aligning the Sensors
Proper alignment is critical for the sensors to function correctly. The yellow and green LEDs on the sensors indicate their status:

6. Principes de fonctionnement
The 820CB safety sensors function by projecting an invisible infrared beam across the garage door opening. This beam acts as a safety barrier. When the garage door is in the process of closing, if any object or person breaks this infrared beam, the sensors immediately send a signal to the garage door opener. This signal instructs the opener to stop the downward movement and reverse the door to its fully open position, thereby preventing potential injury or damage.

7. Entretien
Regular maintenance of your 820CB safety sensors is essential to ensure their continued functionality and the safe operation of your garage door opener.
