4. Operating Instructions (PASS Method)
The Kidde Fire Extinguisher 711A is designed for simple and reliable operation using the PASS firefighting method:
- P - Pull the Pin: Hold the extinguisher upright. Pull the safety pin to break the tampeuh sceau.
- A - Aim at Base of Fire: Stand back approximately 6 feet (1.83 meters) from the fire. Aim the nozzle at the base of the flames.
- S - Squeeze the Lever: Squeeze the operating lever to discharge the extinguishing agent.
- S - Sweep Side to Side: While squeezing the lever, sweep the nozzle from side to side at the base of the fire until the flames are extinguished.
Immediately turn off the appliance or remove the heat source once the fire is out. The discharge time is approximately 8-10 seconds.

5. Entretien
