3. Configuration et installation

Follow these steps to install your CPVAN CP8 Door and Window Sensor:

  2. Fixez l'unité principale : Peel the backing from the double-sided adhesive on the main sensor unit. Attach the main unit to the door or window frame.
  3. Fixez la bande magnétique : Peel the backing from the double-sided adhesive on the magnetic strip. Attach the magnetic strip to the door or window, aligning it with the main sensor unit. The gap between the two components should be minimal when the door/window is closed (typically less than 1 cm).
  4. Tester le capteur : Open and close the door or window to verify that the sensor triggers the CPVAN CP8 system and sends notifications to your connected application.

4. Fonctionnement du capteur

The CPVAN CP8 Door and Window Sensor operates in conjunction with your CPVAN CP8 home security system. Once installed and paired with the system, it monitors the opening and closing of doors and windows.

Modes de fonctionnement:

  • Disarmed Mode (Daytime): When the system is disarmed, opening a door or window may trigger a door chime or a silent notification, depending on your system settings. This is useful for monitoring activity without triggering a full alarm.
  • Armed Mode (Night/Away): When the system is armed, opening a door or window will immediately trigger the alarm, activating the siren and sending real-time push notifications to your smartphone via the CPVAN application.

The CPVAN application provides real-time push notifications to your smartphone, informing you immediately when a sensor is triggered. You can customize protection zones and receive specific alerts for different doors or windows.

5. Entretien

Remplacement de la batterie :

The CPVAN CP8 sensor is powered by a CR2032 lithium battery (included). When the battery level is low, the sensor's indicator light will flash constantly, and you will receive a low battery notification through the CPVAN application. To replace the battery:

  1. Ouvrez délicatement le capteur casing.
  2. Retirez l'ancienne pile CR2032.
  3. Insert a new CR2032 lithium battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Fermez le capteur casing en toute sécurité.

Nettoyage:

Wipe the sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device.

6. Dépannage

  • Capteur ne se déclenche pas :
    • Check the alignment of the main unit and the magnetic strip. Ensure they are close enough when the door/window is closed.
    • Verify the battery level. Replace the CR2032 battery if it is low.
    • Ensure the sensor is properly paired with your CPVAN CP8 system. Refer to your CP8 system manual for pairing instructions.
  • Aucune notification d'application :
    • Check your smartphone's notification settings for the CPVAN app.
    • Ensure your CPVAN CP8 system is connected to the internet.
    • Confirm the sensor is correctly configured within the app's protection zones.
  • Connectivité intermittente :
    • Relocate the sensor or the CPVAN CP8 receiver to reduce potential signal interference from other electronic devices or large metal objects.
    • Ensure the sensor is within the maximum transmission range of 260 feet from the receiver.
