4. Installation

4.1. Installation de la batterie

The camera requires 4 x 1.5V LR6 AA batteries. For optimal performance and extended operation, it is recommended to use high-quality alkaline or rechargeable batteries.

1. Open the camera's latch on the side and gently open the housing.
2. Localisez le compartiment à piles.
3. Insérez 4 piles AA en veillant à respecter la polarité (+/-) indiquée à l'intérieur du compartiment.
4. Fermez soigneusement le couvercle du compartiment à piles.

4.2. Installation de la carte Micro SD

A Micro SD card (up to 32 GB) is required to store photos and videos. Ensure the card is formatted before first use.

1. Une fois le boîtier de l'appareil photo ouvert, repérez l'emplacement pour carte Micro SD.
2. Insérez la carte Micro SD dans son emplacement jusqu'à ce qu'elle s'enclenche.

4.3. Configuration initiale

The camera can be configured using a settings file on the Micro SD card via your computer. This allows for precise adjustment of parameters such as photo resolution, video resolution, time-lapse intervals, and more.

1. Insert the Micro SD card into your computer using the provided Micro SD card reader.
2. Accéder au paramétrage file (usually a text file or specific software) on the card.
3. Adjust desired settings according to your needs.
4. Enregistrer la configuration file back to the Micro SD card.
5. Safely eject the Micro SD card from your computer and insert it back into the camera.

4.4. Montage de la caméra

Use the included mounting strap to secure the camera to a tree, pole, or other suitable surface. Ensure the camera is stable and pointed towards the desired monitoring area.

5. Utilisation de l'appareil photo

5.1. Mise sous/hors tension

After installing batteries and the Micro SD card, locate the power switch inside the camera housing. Switch it to the "ON" position to activate the camera. To turn off, switch it to "OFF".

5.2. Modes de fonctionnement

The camera supports various operating modes, which can be configured via the settings file:

• Mode photo: Captures still images. Resolutions include 20 MP, 16 MP, and 12 MP.
• Mode vidéo : Records video clips. Resolutions include 1080p, 720p, and VGA.
• Mode photo + vidéo : Capture une photo suivie d'un clip vidéo.
• Mode accéléré : Prend des photos à intervalles réguliers.

5.3. Détection et enregistrement des mouvements

The camera utilizes a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor to detect motion. When motion is detected within its 90° field of view, the camera will trigger and record based on your configured settings.

• Vitesse de déclenchement : The camera activates quickly, with a trigger speed of 0.8 seconds.
• LED IR: For low-light or nighttime conditions, 26 850nm IR LEDs provide illumination up to 20 meters (optimal illumination 6-8 meters).
• Shot Series: Configure the number of photos taken per trigger (1, 3, 6, or 9 shots).
• Temps de récupération : Set the delay between triggers (1, 5, 10, or 30 seconds/minutes).

5.4. Viewing Files

À view Photos et vidéos capturées :

1. Turn off the camera and remove the Micro SD card.
2. Insert the Micro SD card into your computer using the card reader.
3. Accéder au files on the card. Photos are saved in JPEG format, and videos in AVI format.
4. Chaque file will include a date and time stamp.

6. Entretien

6.1. Nettoyage

Essuyez l'extérieur de l'appareil photo avec un chiffon doux et sec.amp cloth. Ensure the lens and PIR sensor are clean and free from dirt or debris for optimal performance. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6.2. Remplacement de la batterie

Remplacez les piles lorsque le témoin de batterie faible s'allume ou lorsque les performances diminuent. Remplacez toujours toutes les piles en même temps par des piles neuves du même type.

6.3. Stockage

When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

• La caméra ne s'allume pas :
  • Vérifiez la polarité de la batterie.
  • Assurez-vous que les batteries sont complètement chargées ou remplacées.
  • Vérifiez que l'interrupteur d'alimentation est en position « MARCHE ».
• Aucune photo ni vidéo enregistrée :
  • Assurez-vous qu'une carte Micro SD est insérée et correctement formatée.
  • Check if the Micro SD card is full.
  • Verify camera settings for recording mode and trigger sensitivity.
  • Assurez-vous que le capteur PIR n'est pas obstrué.
• Qualité d'image/vidéo médiocre :
  • Nettoyez l'objectif de l'appareil photo.
  • Check resolution settings.
  • Ensure sufficient lighting for daytime shots; for night shots, ensure objects are within IR range.
• Autonomie courte de la batterie :
  • Utilisez des piles alcalines ou rechargeables de haute qualité.
  • Reduce the number of photos per trigger or increase recovery time.
  • Consider external power options like the Evolveo solar panel (sold separately).
