5. Instructions d'installation

Follow these steps carefully for proper installation of your JUBEST Pocket Door Frame Kit.

Step 1: Construct Rough Opening

Prepare the wall framing for the pocket door. The rough opening height should be the door height plus 3 inches (76mm). The rough opening width should be 2 times the door width plus 1 inch (25mm).

Step 2: Snap a Chalk Line

Snap a chalk line on the floor to mark the position for the floor brackets and guides. This ensures proper alignment of the door within the pocket.

Step 3: Fix Mounting Plate

Attach the mounting plates to the steel track. Ensure they are securely fastened according to the provided hardware.

Step 4: Fix Steel Track to Horizontal Wood Frame

Mount the steel track assembly to the horizontal wood header of your rough opening. Use the provided mounting brackets and ensure the track is perfectly level. The steel tube studs are then attached to the track and secured to the floor.

Step 5: Fix Hanger Mounting Plate onto Top of Wood Door and Fasten the Bumper

Install the hanger mounting plates onto the top edge of your wooden door. Position them carefully as indicated in the video. Also, fasten the bumper to the door edge at the specified location.

Step 6: Insert Hangers into Track Alternating Wheel and Mount Door

Carefully insert the door hangers into the track, alternating the wheel direction as shown in the video. Once the hangers are in place, lift and mount the door onto the hangers. Adjust the door height using the spanner tool to ensure it hangs plumb and clears the floor.

Step 7: Fasten Guides on Finished Split Jambs

After the door is mounted and adjusted, install the floor guides on the finished split jambs. These guides prevent the door from swinging and ensure smooth movement within the pocket. Ensure a 3/16 inch (5mm) gap on each side of the door for optimal operation.
