5. Installation (Configuration)

1. Couper l'alimentation : Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box controlling the outlet you intend to replace. Turn off the power to that circuit. Verify power is off using a voltage testeur.
2. Supprimer l'ancienne prise : Unscrew and carefully remove the existing wall plate and outlet from the electrical box. Disconnect the wires from the old outlet, noting which wire connects to which terminal (hot, neutral, ground).
3. Préparez les fils : If necessary, strip approximately 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) of insulation from the ends of the wires. Ensure wires are straight and free of nicks.
