1. Introduction

The Keystone Energy Star 50-Pint Portable Dehumidifier is designed to efficiently remove excess moisture from the air, creating a more comfortable and healthier indoor environment. This unit is ideal for basements, garages, living rooms, and other extra-large rooms up to 4,500 square feet. 2. Consignes de sécurité

• Placement: Position the dehumidifier vertically on a stable, level surface. Maintain at least 7.9 inches (20 cm) of clearance on all sides of the unit to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating.

3.3 Panneau de contrôle

• Bouton d'alimentation : Allume/éteint l'appareil.

4. Installation

4.1 Déballage et placement

1. Retirez délicatement le déshumidificateur de son emballage.
2. Place the unit upright on a firm, level floor.
3. Ensure there is at least 7.9 inches (20 cm) of clear space around all sides of the unit for proper air circulation.
4. Plug the power cord directly into a dedicated 120V AC, 60Hz grounded wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

4.2 Continuous Drainage Setup (with Pump)

This model includes a built-in pump for continuous drainage, allowing you to drain water upwards or to a distant drain without manually emptying the bucket.

1. Locate the continuous drain outlet on the back of the unit.
2. Attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the threaded adaptor.
3. Ensure the hose is securely connected and points towards the desired drain location.
4. For optimal pump longevity, a gradual incline for the hose is recommended over a complete vertical incline, though some vertical lift is possible.

5.1 Fonctionnement de base

1. Appuyez sur le Pouvoir button to turn the unit on. The LED display will show the current humidity level.
2. Utilisez le Réglage de l'humidité buttons (up/down arrows) to set your desired humidity level (e.g., 45% for optimal comfort).
3. The unit will automatically operate to reach and maintain the set humidity level.

5.2 Paramètres des modes

Appuyez sur le Mode button to cycle through the following settings:

• Turbo: Augmente la vitesse du ventilateur pour une élimination plus rapide de l'humidité.
• Dégivrage automatique : Automatically activates when frost builds up on the evaporator coils, ensuring efficient operation in cooler environments.

5.3 Fonction minuterie

La minuterie de 24 heures vous permet de programmer l'appareil pour qu'il s'allume ou s'éteigne automatiquement.

1. To set the auto-off timer: With the unit running, press the Minuteur button and use the humidity adjustment arrows to select the desired number of hours (1-24) before the unit turns off.
2. To set the auto-on timer: With the unit off, press the Minuteur button and use the humidity adjustment arrows to select the desired number of hours (1-24) before the unit turns on.

6. Entretien

Un entretien régulier garantit la longévité et le bon fonctionnement de votre déshumidificateur.

6.1 Vidange du réservoir d'eau

If not using the continuous drain option, the water tank will need to be emptied manually when it is full. The 'Full Bucket' indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will automatically shut off.

1. Retirez délicatement le réservoir d'eau par l'avant de l'appareil.
2. Transportez soigneusement le réservoir jusqu'à un évier ou un drain.
3. Videz l’eau recueillie.
4. Faites glisser le réservoir d'eau vide dans l'appareil jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche. L'appareil reprendra alors son fonctionnement.

6.2 Nettoyage du filtre à air

The 'Check Filter' alert will remind you to clean the mesh filter regularly (approximately every 250 hours of operation).

1. Éteignez le déshumidificateur et débranchez-le de la prise électrique.
2. Retirez le filtre à air situé à l'arrière de l'appareil.
3. Lavez le filtre à l'eau chaude savonneuse.
4. Rincez abondamment et laissez sécher complètement à l'air libre avant de réinsérer.
5. Once the filter is reinstalled, plug in the unit and press the 'Filter' button to reset the filter alert.
