This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Coby Wireless TV Audio Speaker and Hearing Amplifier, Model CSTV130. 3.1. Speaker Controls and Indicators

Front Panel (Speaker)

  • Bouton de sourdine: Press to mute or unmute the speaker audio.
  • Speaker Indicator Lights: Display battery level, Mute status, Bluetooth (BT), TV, and Line In input modes.

4. Instructions de configuration

4.1. Powering the Transmitter and Speaker

  1. Connect the AC Power Adapter to the DC IN 5V port on the rear of the transmitter base.
  2. Plug the AC Power Adapter into a wall outlet. The indicator light on the transmitter will illuminate.
  3. Place the wireless speaker onto the charging base. The speaker will begin charging automatically. Alternatively, connect the speaker directly to a power source using a Micro USB cable (not included) via its charging port.

The Coby Wireless TV Audio Speaker offers multiple connection options for your television. Choose the method that best suits your TV's available audio outputs.

Option 1: Digital Optical Audio (Recommended for best quality)

  1. Before inserting the optical cable, gently remove the translucent plastic caps from both ends of the optical cable.
  2. Connect one end of the optical cable to the OPTICAL input on the rear of the transmitter base.
  3. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the Digital Optical Audio Out port on your TV.
  4. On your TV's audio settings menu, set the audio output format to PCM. This is crucial for proper sound transmission. Refer to your TV's manual for specific instructions on changing audio output settings.

Option 2: 3.5mm Audio (Line In / Headphone Jack)

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the LINE IN port on the rear of the transmitter base.
  2. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5mm Headphone Out or Audio Out port on your TV.

Option 3: RCA Audio (Red/White Audio Out)

  1. Connect the RCA to AUX adapter to the 3.5mm audio cable.
  2. Connect the RCA plugs (red and white) to the corresponding Audio Out ports on your TV.
  3. Connect the 3.5mm end of the cable to the LINE IN port on the rear of the transmitter base.

Note:

  • Only one transmitter is needed to connect to your TV/cable box.
  • Only one audio connection type (Optical, 3.5mm, or RCA) is required for installation.

5. Mode d'emploi

5.1. Commande de l'alimentation (marche/arrêt) et du volume

  • To power on the speaker, press and hold the ON/OFF Power/Volume Knob on the side of the speaker. Repeat to power off.
  • Rotate the ON/OFF Power/Volume Knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.

5.2. Fonction muet

  • Press the MUTE button on the front panel of the speaker to instantly mute the audio. The MUTE indicator light will illuminate.
  • Press the MUTE button again to unmute the audio.

5.3. Sélection du mode d'entrée

The speaker automatically detects the active input from the transmitter (TV/Line In) or can be manually switched to Bluetooth mode.

  • When connected to the transmitter, the TV or LINE IN indicator light will show the active input.
  • To switch to Bluetooth mode, press the MODE/STANDBY button on the transmitter or the BT button on the speaker (if available). The BT indicator light will flash, indicating pairing mode.

5.4. Couplage Bluetooth

Pour connecter votre smartphone ou autre appareil Bluetooth :

  1. Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode (BT indicator light flashing).
  2. Sur votre appareil, activez Bluetooth et recherchez les appareils disponibles.
  3. Select "Coby CSTV130" (or similar) from the list.
  4. Once paired, the BT indicator light will become solid, and you can play audio wirelessly from your device.

5.5. Utilisation d'écouteurs

For private listening, you can connect wired headphones directly to the speaker.

  • Plug your 3.5mm wired headphones into the 3.5mm AUX Speaker Input port on the rear of the speaker.
  • The speaker's internal audio will mute, and sound will be directed to the connected headphones.

6. Chargement

The speaker features an 8-hour playback time and can be recharged in two ways:

  • Station de chargement : Place the speaker onto the transmitter base. Ensure the speaker is correctly seated for charging to begin.
  • Direct Micro USB: Connect a Micro USB cable (not included) to the speaker's charging port and to a USB power source.

7. Fonction de veille automatique

The speaker includes an auto sleep function to conserve battery life.

  • If no audio signal is detected for a period, the device will gradually reduce its volume.
  • After 1 hour of inactivity, the speaker will automatically shut off.

8. Dépannage

8.1. Absence de son ou mauvaise qualité audio

  • Vérifier les connexions : Ensure all cables (optical, 3.5mm, power) are securely connected to both the transmitter and the TV.
  • Optical Cable Caps: Verify that the translucent plastic caps have been removed from both ends of the optical cable before insertion.
