4. Installation
This section guides you through the initial setup of your COMFAST CF-WR301S. The device supports Repeater Mode and Access Point Mode.
4.1 Connexion initiale
- Mise sous tension : Plug the CF-WR301S into a power outlet. Wait for the Power LED to turn green.
- Connectez-vous à l'appareil : On your computer or smartphone, search for available Wi-Fi networks. Connect to the network named CF-WR301S_xxxx (where xxxx are the last four digits of the device's MAC address). No password is required for the initial connection.
- Accéder Web Interface: Ouvrir un web navigateur et entrez 192.168.10.1 in the address bar. This will open the device's configuration page.

4.2 Configuration du mode répéteur
Repeater mode extends the coverage of an existing Wi-Fi network.
- Après avoir accédé au web interface (192.168.10.1), select Mode répéteur.
- The device will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the network you wish to extend from the list.

5. Modes de fonctionnement
5.1 Mode Répéteur
In Repeater Mode, the CF-WR301S wirelessly connects to your existing router's Wi-Fi network and re-broadcasts it, effectively extending the signal to areas with poor coverage. This mode is ideal for eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones.
5.2 Mode point d'accès (AP)
In AP Mode, the CF-WR301S connects to your wired network via an Ethernet cable and creates a new wireless network. This is useful for adding Wi-Fi capability to a wired-only network or for creating a separate Wi-Fi network.

7. Dépannage
- Impossible d'accéder web interface (192.168.10.1): Ensure your device is connected to the CF-WR301S's default Wi-Fi network. Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
- Aucune connexion Internet après l'installation : Verify that the main router has an active internet connection. In Repeater Mode, ensure you entered the correct password for the host Wi-Fi network. In AP Mode, confirm the Ethernet cable is securely connected and providing internet.
- Weak signal or slow speed: Relocate the CF-WR301S closer to your main router. Ensure there are no major obstructions (thick walls, metal objects) between the devices.
