1. Installation
1.1 Installation de la batterie
The Sharp EL-W531TL calculator operates on one LR44 battery, which is included. To install or replace the battery:

- Use a small screwdriver to remove the screw securing the cover.
- Carefully remove the cover and insert the LR44 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.

1.2 Mise sous tension initiale
Appuyez sur le MARCHE/C key to turn on the calculator. The display will show the default mode (e.g., DEG for degrees).

2. Mode d'emploi
2.1 Opérations arithmétiques de base
Perform basic calculations using the number keys and operation keys (+, -, ×, ÷). Presse = pour afficher le résultat.
- Ajout: 5 + 3 = (Résultat : 8)
- Soustraction: 10 - 4 = (Résultat : 6)
- Multiplication: 7 × 2 = (Résultat : 14)
- Division: 15 ÷ 3 = (Résultat : 5)
2.2 Fonctions scientifiques
The EL-W531TL offers over 420 scientific functions. Many functions are accessed by pressing the 2e F key followed by the desired function key.
- Fonctions trigonométriques : Utiliser péché, parce que, tanné keys. For inverse functions, press 2e F then the respective key (e.g., 2e F péché for sin-1).
- Logarithmes : Utiliser enregistrer (base 10) et ln (logarithme naturel) touches.
- Pouvoirs et Racines : Utiliser x² pour la mise au carré, √ for square root. For other powers, use yx.
- Fractions : Utilisez le un b/c key to enter and calculate fractions.
2.3 Fonctions de mémoire
The calculator includes independent memory (M) and variable memories (A-F, X, Y).
- Enregistrer en mémoire : Enter a value, then press STO followed by the desired memory key (e.g., STO M+ to store to M).
- Rappel par cœur : Presse RCL followed by the desired memory key.
- Mémoire claire: Presse M-CLR to clear all memories.
2.4 Sélection du mode
Appuyez sur le MODE key to cycle through different calculation modes (e.g., Normal, Stat, Drill). Press CA to change angle units (DEG, RAD, GRAD).

3. Entretien
3.1 Nettoyage
To clean the calculator, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray directly onto the calculator, as this may damage the display or keys.
3.2 Remplacement de la batterie
When the display becomes dim or calculations are erratic, it is time to replace the battery. Refer to Section 1.1 for battery installation instructions. Always replace with a new LR44 alkaline battery.
3.3 Stockage
Store the calculator in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the battery to prevent leakage.
