- Never operate the mower without the discharge guard or grass catcher in place.
- Faites le plein dans un endroit bien ventilé, moteur éteint et froid. Évitez de renverser du carburant.
- Do not operate the mower in wet grass or on steep slopes where you could lose footing.
- Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or clearing blockages.

Warning: Do not operate without guard in place. Ensure all safety guards are securely attached before starting the engine.
3. Configuration et assemblage
3.1 Assemblage du guidon
The handlebar may require assembly or unfolding from its storage position. Secure all bolts and knobs firmly to ensure stability during operation.

The handlebar features a soft grip for comfortable handling and can be folded for space-saving storage.
3.2 Remplissage en carburant et en huile
Before first use, fill the engine with appropriate gasoline and engine oil. Refer to the engine manufacturer's recommendations for fuel type and oil specifications.
- Réservoir à carburant: Capacity 0.9 liters. Use unleaded gasoline.
- Réservoir d'huile : Capacity 0.55 liters. Use recommended 4-stroke engine oil.
Ensure caps are securely tightened after filling. Do not overfill.
4. Mode d'emploi
4.1 Démarrage du moteur
- Vérifiez que le réservoir de carburant est plein et que le niveau d'huile est correct.
- Move the throttle lever to the "START" position.
- Grip the engine brake lever (usually on the handlebar) and hold it against the handle.
- Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine starts. Do not let the cord snap back.
- Once the engine is running, release the starter cord and allow the engine to warm up for a few moments.

4.2 Réglage de la hauteur de coupe
The cutting height can be adjusted to 5 levels, ranging from 30 mm to 80 mm. Locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
4.3 Mulching and Side Discharge
The Hecht 5511 offers both mulching and side discharge functions. For mulching, ensure the side discharge chute is closed and the mulching plug (if separate) is installed. For side discharge, attach the side discharge chute and remove the mulching plug (if applicable).

Figure 6 : View of the engine and cutting deck, showing the side discharge area.
The side discharge feature allows grass clippings to be ejected to the side, useful for taller grass or when mulching is not desired.
4.4 Conseils de tonte
- Mow in overlapping rows for a uniform cut.
- Do not attempt to cut too much grass at once; adjust cutting height as needed.
- The larger rear tires facilitate easier maneuvering across your lawn.
4.5 Arrêt du moteur
To stop the engine, release the engine brake lever. The engine will shut off automatically. Wait for all moving parts to stop before approaching the mower.
5. Entretien
Un entretien régulier garantit la longévité et le fonctionnement optimal de votre tondeuse. Débranchez toujours le fil de la bougie avant toute intervention.
- Nettoyage: Clean the mower deck and engine area after each use to prevent grass buildup.
- Vidange: Change engine oil according to the engine manufacturer's schedule, typically after the first 5 hours and then every 25-50 hours of operation.
- Filtre à air : Inspect and clean or replace the air filter regularly.
- Bougie d'allumage: Inspect and clean or replace the spark plug as needed. The electrode distance should be 0.7 - 0.8 mm.
- Entretien de la lame : Inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace the blade as necessary. Ensure the blade screw is tightened to 50 Nm.
- Stockage: For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer. Clean the mower thoroughly and store it in a dry, protected area. The foldable handle helps save space.
