1. Introduction

3. Installation

3.1 Installation de la batterie

The Tek-Point pinpointer requires one 9V battery (not included) for operation. Ensure the battery is fresh and correctly installed for optimal performance.

Locate the battery cap at the rear end of the pinpointer.

Important: Always ensure the battery cap is fully tightened before submerging the pinpointer in water to prevent water ingress and damage.

4. Mode d'emploi

4.1 Mise sous/hors tension

To turn on the pinpointer, press and hold the power button for approximately 1 second until you hear a short beep and/or feel a vibration. The LED light will also illuminate briefly.
To turn off the pinpointer, press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds until you hear a longer beep and/or feel a longer vibration. The LED light will turn off.

4.2 Ajustement de la sensibilité

The Tek-Point has 3 sensitivity levels. Adjusting the sensitivity allows you to optimize detection for different target sizes and ground conditions.

With the pinpointer powered on, quickly press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the sensitivity levels.
Each press will advance to the next sensitivity level, indicated by a series of short beeps/vibrations (e.g., one beep for Level 1, two for Level 2, three for Level 3).
Level 1 is the lowest sensitivity, suitable for large targets or highly mineralized ground. Level 3 is the highest sensitivity, ideal for small targets or less mineralized ground.

4.3 Detection Modes (Beep, Vibrate, Both)

The pinpointer can be set to beep, vibrate, or both when a target is detected.

To change the detection mode, press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds (after powering on, but before powering off). The pinpointer will cycle through the modes: Beep Only, Vibrate Only, Beep + Vibrate.
Release the button when you reach your desired mode.

4.4 Lost Mode Alarm

If the pinpointer is left on and inactive for a period (typically 5 minutes), it will emit an audible alarm to help you locate it. This feature helps prevent accidental loss in the field.

The integrated LED light automatically activates when the pinpointer is turned on, providing illumination for the target area. It will turn off when the pinpointer is powered off.

5. Entretien

5.1 Nettoyage

After each use, especially in wet or sandy conditions, rinse the pinpointer with fresh water.
