This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your SMALLRIG GH5/GH5S Camera Cage (Model 2049). This cage is designed to enhance the functionality and protection of your Panasonic Lumix GH5, GH5S, and GH5 II cameras, offering multiple mounting points for accessories.
2. Principales caractéristiques
- Compatibilité améliorée : This updated version (CCP2646) is specifically designed for Panasonic Lumix GH5 II, GH5, and GH5S cameras, addressing previous wobble issues.
- Mécanisme anti-torsion : The cage secures to the camera using a 1/4"-20 screw at the bottom and features two M2.5 threads on each side to prevent twisting, ensuring a stable setup.
- Accès sans obstacle : The design allows full access to the SD card slot, battery compartment, and all camera controls. The top left frame is modified to accommodate a TC In/Out BNC conversion cable.
- Versatile Mounting Points: An integrated cold shoe on the top allows for attaching microphones or other cold shoe compatible accessories. NATO rails on both sides provide additional mounting options for NATO compatible accessories.

3. Compatibilité
The SMALLRIG GH5/GH5S Camera Cage (Model 2049 / CCP2646) is compatible with the following camera models:
- Panasonic Lumix GH5
- Panasonic Lumix GH5S
- Panasonic Lumix GH5 II
Remarque importante : This cage is not compatible with the Panasonic Lumix GH5M2.

5. Configuration et installation
Follow these steps to properly install the camera cage:
- Préparer l'appareil photo : Before installation, remove the triangle split ring on each side of your camera.
- Attach Cage to Camera Base: Secure the camera to the cage via the 1/4"-20 screw located on the bottom of the cage. Use the integrated flat head screwdriver (stored on the bottom of the cage) to tighten this screw.
- Secure Side Screws: Insert and tighten the two M2.5 screws into the threads on each side of the cage, aligning them with the camera's strap holes. This provides additional anti-twist security.

6. Mode d'emploi
The camera cage provides various attachment points for expanding your camera rig:

7. Entretien
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SMALLRIG camera cage, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Nettoyage: Wipe the cage regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp Essuyez immédiatement avec un chiffon. Évitez les nettoyants abrasifs et les solvants.
