Introduction

This instruction manual provides essential information for the proper use, care, and maintenance of your Spectra Premium Breast Milk Pump Accessory Kit. This kit is designed to be compatible with Spectra S1, S2, 9 Plus, and Synergy Gold electric breast pumps, offering a convenient solution for replacement parts or an additional set for home or work.

All components that come into contact with breast milk are BPA/DEHP-free, ensuring safety for your baby. Please read this manual thoroughly before initial use.

  • 1 x 28mm Breast Flange
  • 1 x Wide Neck Milk Bottle
  • 1 x Backflow Protector

For optimal performance and comfort, it is crucial to use the correct flange size. Please measure your nipple size and select the appropriately sized flange. This kit includes a 28mm flange.

Installation

Follow these steps to assemble your Spectra Premium Breast Milk Pump Accessory Kit:

  1. Fixez la valve Duckbill : Firmly press the duckbill valve onto the bottom of the breast flange. Ensure it is securely seated to prevent air leaks.
  2. Assemble Backflow Protector: Connect the two parts of the backflow protector (silicone membrane and casing). Insert the assembled backflow protector into the top opening of the breast flange.
  3. Connecter la tubulure : Attach one end of the tubing to the small nozzle on the backflow protector. The other end of the tubing will connect to your Spectra breast pump.
  4. Attacher la bouteille : Screw the wide neck milk bottle onto the bottom of the breast flange assembly.
  5. Raccordement à la pompe : Connect the free end of the tubing to the appropriate port on your Spectra breast pump. Refer to your breast pump's instruction manual for specific port locations.

Opération

Once the accessory kit is assembled and connected to your Spectra breast pump, refer to your specific breast pump's instruction manual for detailed operating procedures, including power settings, cycle adjustments, and vacuum levels. This accessory kit functions as a component of the overall pumping system.

Nettoyage et entretien

Proper cleaning and maintenance are essential for hygiene and product longevity. Always wash parts immediately after each use.

Instructions de nettoyage :

  • Disassemble all parts that come into contact with breast milk (flange, bottle, duckbill valve, backflow protector).
  • Wash these parts with warm, soapy water. Use a soft brush for thorough cleaning.
  • Rincez soigneusement tous les composants à l'eau claire.
  • Allow parts to air dry completely on a clean surface or drying rack.
  • Do not wash the tubing. If moisture or milk enters the tubing, replace it immediately to prevent contamination.

Calendrier de remplacement :

Regular replacement of parts is recommended to maintain optimal pump performance and hygiene.

  • Replace Spectra Duckbill Valves every 6 to 8 weeks, or sooner if wear is visible or suction decreases.
  • Replace your Spectra Backflow Protector every 3 to 4 months, or sooner if wear is visible.
  • Tubing should be replaced if milk or moisture is present, or if it becomes damaged.

Dépannage

If you experience issues such as decreased suction or milk flow, please check the following:

  • Ensure all parts of the accessory kit are correctly assembled and securely connected.
  • Inspect the duckbill valve for tears or wear; a damaged valve can significantly reduce suction.
  • Check the backflow protector membrane for tears or damage.
  • Verify that the tubing is free from kinks, damage, or moisture.
  • Refer to your main Spectra breast pump manual for pump-specific troubleshooting steps.
