3. Installation
3.1 Déballage et inspection
Carefully remove the printer and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all standard accessories are present:
- Ink ribbon (1 pc)
- Plain printer paper (1 roll)
- Adaptateur secteur

- Two RS-232C cables (D-Sub 25P and D-Sub 9P)

3.2 Connexion de l'alimentation
- Connect the provided AC adapter to the power input port on the printer.
- Plug the AC adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
- The printer will power on, and the LCD display should illuminate.

- Open the paper roll cover on the top of the printer.
- Insert the plain printer paper roll, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll towards the front of the printer.
- Pull a small length of paper out and close the cover, ensuring the paper exits through the slot.

- With the paper roll cover open, locate the ink ribbon cartridge slot.
- Carefully insert the ink ribbon cartridge into its designated position until it clicks into place.
- Ensure the ribbon is taut and properly aligned.
3.5 Connecting to External Devices (RS-232C)
The AD-8127 features an RS-232C interface for connecting to balances, scales, or other data sources. Use the appropriate RS-232C cable (D-Sub 9P or D-Sub 25P) provided.
- Locate the RS-232C port on the rear of the printer.
- Connect one end of the RS-232C cable to the printer's port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the corresponding RS-232C port on your external device (e.g., balance/scale).
- Ensure communication settings (baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits) on both the printer and the external device are configured to match. Refer to the external device's manual for its communication settings.
4. Mode d'emploi
4.1 Basic Operation and Keypad Functions
The printer is operated using the numeric keypad and the LCD display. The display shows current status and menu options.
- Touches numériques (0-9) : Used for entering numerical values and selecting menu options.

- ESC (Escape/Menu): Exits current menu or function, or accesses the main menu.

4.3 Printing Modes
The AD-8127 supports several printing modes for various data logging needs:
- Impression standard : Prints data received directly from the connected device. This is the default mode.
- Interval Printing Mode: Configures the printer to automatically print weighing data at pre-set time intervals.
- Access the menu and select "Interval Print Settings".
- Set the desired interval duration (e.g., 5 seconds, 1 minute).
- Activate interval printing. The printer will then request and print data at the specified intervals.
- Chart Printing Mode: Used for printing time-series variations of weighing data, often presented in a graphical or tabular format over time.
- Select "Chart Print Mode" from the menu.
- Configure parameters such as data points or duration if prompted.
- Initiate chart printing.
- Dump Printing Mode: Designed to receive and print GLP/GMP/GCP/ISO compliant output directly from a connected balance or scale. This mode ensures data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure your connected balance/scale is configured to send GLP/GMP/GCP/ISO compliant data.
- Select "Dump Print Mode" on the printer.
- Initiate the data transfer from your balance/scale. The printer will automatically format and print the received data.
5. Entretien
5.1 Nettoyage de l'imprimante
Regular cleaning helps maintain the printer's performance and extends its lifespan.
- Before cleaning, disconnect the AC adapter from the power outlet.
- Wipe the exterior of the printer with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a cloth lightly dampRincez à l'eau et au détergent doux, puis essuyez immédiatement.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol, as these can damage the plastic surfaces.
- Gently clean the print head area with a soft, lint-free cloth if necessary, being careful not to touch the print pins directly.
5.2 Replacing Ink Ribbon and Paper
Replace the ink ribbon when print quality deteriorates or becomes faint. Replace the paper roll when it runs out.
- Ruban d'encre: Open the paper roll cover. Carefully remove the old ink ribbon cartridge. Insert a new genuine A&D ink ribbon cartridge, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Rouleau de papier: Open the paper roll cover. Remove the empty paper core. Insert a new roll of 57.5 mm wide plain printer paper, ensuring the paper feeds correctly. Close the cover.
