4. Instructions de configuration

The JBL CristalProfi E702 Greenline is designed for easy assembly and quick startup. Follow these steps for proper installation:

4.1. Preparing the Filter Media

  1. Open the filter head by releasing le clamps.
  2. Remove the media baskets. Rinse all filter media (biofiltration balls and foam) thoroughly under tap water to remove any manufacturing dust.
  3. Place the filter media back into the baskets in the correct order as shown in the diagram. Typically, coarser media (pre-filter foam) goes at the bottom, followed by biological media (balls), and finer media at the top.

The main filter media (biological balls and other foams) should be cleaned or replaced less frequently, typically every few months or as indicated by the filter change indicator.

  2. Carefully remove the media baskets.
  3. Rinse biological media in old aquarium water (not tap water) to preserve beneficial bacteria. Mechanical media can be rinsed in tap water.
  4. Replace any worn-out or heavily clogged filter media with new JBL CristalProfi E702 compatible media.
  5. Reassemble the filter in the correct order, ensuring all baskets are properly seated.
  6. Close the filter head securely, open water stop valves, prime, and restart the filter.
