Étalonnage
1-Point Auto Calibration
The Salt20 Salinity Tester uses a 1-point auto calibration process with auto buffer recognition. It is recommended to calibrate the meter regularly for accurate results, especially before critical measurements or if the meter has not been used for a long time.

The Salt20 Salinity Tester features effortless single-button auto calibration with auto buffer recognition, simplifying the calibration process.
- Préparer la solution : Pour a small amount of the 12.88 mS/cm (6.44 ppt) calibration solution into a clean beaker.
- Entrer en mode d'étalonnage : With the meter turned on, short press the CAL button. The display will show "CAL" and the calibration value.
- Immerse Sensor: Dip the sensor into the calibration solution. Stir gently.
- Attendez la stabilité : The meter will automatically recognize the calibration solution. Wait for the smiley face icon to appear and remain stable. The calibration success symbol (M) will also appear.
- Étalonnage de sortie : Short press the MEAS button to exit calibration mode and return to measurement mode.
Note: Always use fresh calibration solution for each calibration. Do not pour used solution back into the bottle.
Entretien
Nettoyage du capteur
The BPB (Brush-Resistant Platinum Black) sensor is robust but requires proper cleaning to maintain accuracy.
- After each use, rinse the sensor thoroughly with distilled or deionized water.
- If there is visible contamination, gently brush the sensor with a soft brush (like a soft toothbrush) while rinsing.
- For stubborn deposits, soak the sensor in a mild detergent solution for 10-15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
- Jamais wipe the sensor with abrasive materials or apply excessive force, as this can damage the platinum black coating.
Stockage
For long-term storage, ensure the sensor is clean and dry. Replace the protective cap. Store the meter in its carrying case in a cool, dry place.
