1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and proper installation and use of your Ematic EMW5005 Universal TV Wall Mount. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation and retain this manual for future reference.

The Ematic EMW5005 is a low-profile wall mount designed to securely hold televisions ranging from 23 to 65 inches and weighing up to 77 lbs (35 kg). It supports various VESA mounting standards, including 75x75, 100x100, 100x200, 200x200, 300x300, 400x200, and 400x400.

• The wall structure must be capable of supporting at least 300 lbs (136 kg). If not, the wall structure must be reinforced.
• Proper installation procedure by a qualified service technician, as outlined in these installation instructions, must be adhered to. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury, or even death.

• At least two qualified people should perform the installation procedure. Injury and/or damage can result from dropping or mishandling the flat panel display.

4. Installation (Configuration)

Before starting, ensure you have all necessary tools: marker, screwdriver, electric drill, and tape measure. Always follow safety guidelines.

4.1. Concrete Wall Mounting (Step 1A)

1. Place the wall plate at the desired height and use it to mark the hole locations on the wall. Use the built-in bubble level (G2) to ensure the mount is level.
2. Drill holes to at least 40mm in depth using an 8mm drill bit. Do not drill into mortar joints.
3. Insert the M6 plastic anchors (E) into the drilled holes.
4. Secure the TV mount to the wall using the M6 screws (F) and washers (G1).

4.2. Wood Stud Mounting (Step 1B)

1. Use a stud finder to locate the edges of the studs. Mark the center of each stud by drawing a vertical line with a pencil.
2. Place the wall mount at the desired height, aligning the mounting holes with the marked stud centers. Use the base of the mount as a template to mark the hole locations. Use the built-in bubble level (G2) to ensure the mount is level.
3. Drill pilot holes to at least 50mm in depth using a 3mm drill bit.
4. Secure the wall mount to the wall using the M6 screws (F) and washers (G1). Ensure the mount is straight vertically.

4.3. Attaching Brackets to TV (Step 2A/2B)

1. Determine the correct screw diameter for your TV. Hand-thread screws (A, B, C, or D) into the proper inserts on the back of your television. Verify that the screw is a good fit, not too short or too long.
2. Place the TV brackets over your television's VESA hole pattern. Attach using the appropriate screw and washer (G1) combination for your TV. Ensure the bracket stabilizers (H) are also installed.

4.4. Locking Television onto Wall Plate (Step 3)

1. Carefully lift the television with the attached brackets and hook the brackets onto the wall plate.
2. Secure your television into place by locking the bracket latches. These latches are typically located at the bottom of the TV brackets and can be pulled down to engage with the wall plate.

The Ematic EMW5005 is a fixed, low-profile TV wall mount. Once installed, its primary function is to securely hold your television against the wall. There are no operational controls or adjustments required after the initial setup, other than ensuring the locking mechanisms are engaged.
