Installation

1. Déballage

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the terminal and accessories for any signs of damage. Retain the packaging for future storage or shipping.

2. Connecting the Terminal

The VX520 offers various connectivity options. Ensure the communication port area is clear for neat cable management.

• Connexion électrique : Connect the power adapter to the power port on the terminal and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
• Ethernet Connection (if applicable): For Ethernet connectivity, connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the ETH port on the terminal and the other end to your network router or switch.
• Dial-up Connection (if applicable): For dial-up connectivity, connect the telephone line cable to the TELCO port on the terminal and the other end to an active telephone wall jack.

3. Chargement du papier

The VX520 uses thermal paper rolls for printing receipts.

1. Open the printer cover by lifting the latch.
2. Insert the thermal paper roll with the paper feeding from the bottom and the leading edge extending towards the front of the terminal.

2. Traitement des transactions

• Magnetic Stripe Cards: Swipe the card through the magnetic stripe reader slot on the side of the terminal with the stripe facing the terminal.
• Cartes à puce EMV : Insert the chip card into the slot at the bottom front of the terminal with the chip facing up. Leave the card in the slot until the transaction is complete and the terminal prompts you to remove it.
• Contactless Payments (Optional): Tap the contactless card or compatible mobile device near the contactless reader symbol on the top of the terminal.

3. Impression des reçus

After a transaction is approved, the terminal will typically prompt to print a merchant copy and then a customer copy. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the printing process.
