5. Installation
The FM1STUZH-240U timer module is designed for panel mounting within an appropriate enclosure. Ensure the enclosure provides adequate protection for the operating environment.
5.1 Montage
Mount the timer module securely to the panel using appropriate fasteners. Refer to the product dimensions for proper cutout and spacing.

5.2 Connexions de câblage
Before making any connections, ensure power is disconnected at the main circuit breaker. The timer module uses 1/4-inch quick-connect terminals. Refer to the wiring diagram below and the labels on the timer for correct connections.

Connexions terminales :
- INPUT (L1, L2): Connect the 240 VAC power supply to these terminals.
- M (Moteur) : These terminals are for the internal synchronous motor. Connect the 240 VAC power supply to these terminals as well, typically in parallel with the INPUT terminals.
- COM (Commun) : This is the common terminal for the SPDT switch.
- NON (normalement ouvert) : This terminal is connected to COM when the timer is ON.
- NC (Normalement Fermé) : This terminal is connected to COM when the timer is OFF.

6. Installation

6.2 Setting ON/OFF Times
The timer dial has 96 captive trippers, each representing 15 minutes. To set ON/OFF times:
- Push the trippers outward for the periods you want the load to be ON.
- Leave the trippers inward for the periods you want the load to be OFF.
- Each pushed-out tripper will activate the switch for 15 minutes.
7. Fonctionnement
7.1 Fonctionnement automatique
Once the current time and ON/OFF trippers are set, the timer will automatically switch the connected load according to the programmed schedule. The dial will continuously rotate, and the internal switch will change state as the trippers engage or disengage.
7.2 Commande manuelle
The FM1STUZH-240U includes a manual override switch for temporary control of the connected load, independent of the programmed schedule. The override switch has three positions:
- SUR: Forces the load to remain ON.
- OFF: Forces the load to remain OFF.
- Automatic (Center Position): Allows the timer to operate according to the programmed schedule.
To use the manual override, simply move the switch to the desired position. Remember to return it to the automatic (center) position for programmed operation to resume.
8. Entretien
The Intermatic FM1STUZH-240U timer module is designed for long-term, reliable operation with minimal maintenance.
- Nettoyage: Periodically clean the exterior of the timer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the clear plastic cover is free from dust or debris that might obstruct visibility.
