Carefully remove the UPS from its packaging. Place the unit on a stable, flat surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
3.2 Connexion de la batterie
The internal battery may be disconnected for shipping. Refer to the diagram below to connect the battery before initial use. This step is crucial for the UPS to provide battery backup functionality.

Figure 1 : De haut en bas view of the APC Back-UPS 350VA (BE350G) unit. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the bottom or side of the unit, and connect the internal battery terminals as instructed in the quick start guide or on the unit itself.
3.3 Connexion à l'alimentation
Plug the UPS power cord directly into a grounded two-pole, three-wire wall outlet. Do not use extension cords, power strips, or other surge protectors with the UPS input, as this can compromise its effectiveness.
3.4 Connecter l'équipement
The BE350G features six outlets. It is important to identify the outlets providing battery backup and surge protection, and those offering surge protection only.
- Connect critical devices (e.g., computer, monitor, wireless router, external hard drives) to the three outlets labeled "Battery Backup + Surge Protection". These devices will remain powered during an outage.
- Connect non-critical devices (e.g., printer, scanner, desk lamp) to the three outlets labeled "Surge Protection Only". These devices will be protected from surges but will lose power during an outage.
