- Photo-Eye Sensors: The Original Clicker Universal Wireless Keypad by Chamberlain is intended for use with residential door openers manufactured after 1993 that use photoelectric sensors. Any garage door opener that does not have these sensors installed and working should be replaced.
- Autorisation: Ensure all children, pets, or items are completely clear of the garage door before proceeding with the programming process or operating the door.

Configuration et programmation
Setting up your KLIK2U-P2 keypad involves programming a personal identification number (PIN) and syncing it with your garage door opener. The process is wireless and typically takes seconds.
1. Identify Your Garage Door Opener Type
Locate the "Learn" button on your garage door opener. Note its color, as this determines the programming steps. Alternatively, some older openers use DIP switches. Refer to your opener's manual if unsure.

2. Program the Keypad
- Select a 4-digit PIN: Choose a personal 4-digit code.
- Initiate Programming Mode: Press and hold the '*' and '#' keys together on the keypad until the keypad stops flashing.

- Determine Opener ID: Use the instruction manual provided with your keypad to find the corresponding Opener ID based on your garage door opener's brand and learn button color/DIP switch type. Enter this ID, then press '#'.
- Sync with Opener: Press and quickly release the "Smart/Learn" button on your garage door opener. The indicator light on the opener will turn ON.
- Finalize Keypad Sync: Within 30 seconds of the opener's indicator light turning ON, enter your 4-digit PIN on the keypad, then press and hold the '0' key until the garage door opener lights flash or two clicks are heard.
For Genie and Overhead Door units, press the '0' key twice in the final step.
3. Montage du clavier
The keypad comes with a 9V battery pre-installed and mounting hardware.
- Remove the outer cover by sliding it upwards.
- Unscrew and remove the battery compartment cover and the 9V battery to expose the mounting holes.
- Secure the keypad to a smooth surface using the included screws. Ensure it's at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) above the ground and out of the path of the moving door.
- Reconnect the 9V battery, replace the battery compartment cover, and slide the outer cover back down.

The keypad is powered by a 9V battery (included). When the battery is low, the keypad's backlight may dim or the keypad may become unresponsive. To replace the battery:
- Slide the protective cover upwards.

- Ensure you are within approximately 2 feet of the garage door opener power head during the syncing step for best results.
- Repeat the entire programming process carefully.
