1. Introduction

5. Configuration et installation

This light post is designed for surface mounting onto a concrete pad or other stable, level surface. Professional installation is recommended.

5.1 Préparation du site

• Choose a location that is level and provides adequate support for the light post and fixture.

• If installing on new concrete, allow the concrete to cure fully before mounting the post.

5.2 Assembling the Post

2. The light post consists of multiple sections designed to thread together. Align the threaded ends and carefully screw each section clockwise until secure. Ensure all sections are tightly joined to form a rigid pole.

5.3 Mounting the Base

1. Position the hexagonal base footprint at the desired installation point.
2. Use the provided metal template to mark the locations for the anchor bolts on your concrete surface.
3. For new concrete: Embed the supplied J-bolts into the wet concrete using the template to ensure correct spacing. Allow concrete to cure completely.
4. For existing concrete: Drill holes at the marked locations using a hammer drill and a masonry bit appropriate for the anchor bolts. Insert suitable concrete anchors (e.g., 5/16" anchor bolts if not using supplied J-bolts).
5. Once anchor bolts are secured, place the light post base over the bolts. Secure with washers and nuts, tightening evenly to ensure the post is plumb and stable.

5.4 Wiring and Light Fixture Attachment

1. Route the electrical wiring up through the center of the assembled light post.
2. Connect the wiring to your chosen post-top light fixture according to the fixture's instructions and local electrical codes.
3. Mount the light fixture onto the 3-inch diameter mounting surface at the top of the post, securing it firmly.
4. Ensure all electrical connections are insulated and protected from weather.

6. Mode d'emploi

The John Timberland Hepworth Outdoor Light Post serves as a structural support and conduit for an outdoor light fixture. Its operation is dependent on the light fixture installed on top.

• Once a compatible light fixture is installed and wired, operate the light according to the instructions provided with your specific light fixture.
• Ensure the power source is connected and the circuit breaker is ON.
• If your light fixture includes a switch, photocell, or smart control, use those mechanisms to turn the light on and off.
