Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of your De'Longhi Deluxe Burr Coffee Grinder, Model DCG4T. Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance and retain this manual for future reference.

Installation

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed and clean the removable parts as described in the "Maintenance and Cleaning" section.

  1. Placez le broyeur sur une surface stable, plane et sèche.
  2. Ensure the ground coffee collection bin is correctly inserted into its compartment.
  3. Open the bean hopper lid.
  4. Add whole coffee beans to the bean hopper. Do not overfill. The maximum capacity is approximately 1.5 pounds of coffee beans.

  5. Fermez bien le couvercle du réservoir à haricots.
  6. Branchez le cordon d’alimentation sur une prise électrique standard.

Mode d'emploi

Follow these steps to grind your coffee beans.

  1. Sélectionner la finesse de mouture : Rotate the grind selector dial to your desired setting.
    • Extra-fine: Suitable for espresso machines.
    • Fin: Recommended for drip coffee makers.
    • Moyen: Ideal for drip coffee makers.
    • Grossier: Best for percolators or French press.
  2. Sélectionnez la quantité : Rotate the quantity selector dial to the number of tablespoons of coffee you wish to grind. The grinder can process from 2 to 24 tablespoons at one time.
  3. Commencez à broyer : Press the power switch to the "On" position. The grinder will operate until the selected quantity of coffee has been ground, then it will automatically shut off.
  4. Collecter le café moulu : Once grinding is complete, pull the ground coffee collection bin straight out from the unit. Remove its lid and pour the ground coffee into your coffee maker or storage container.
  5. Éteindre: If you need to stop grinding before the selected quantity is reached, simply press the power switch to the "Off" position.

Entretien et nettoyage

  1. Avant le nettoyage : Always unplug the grinder from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
  2. Nettoyage du bac de collecte : Remove the ground coffee collection bin. Hand wash the removable plastic bin and its lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reinserting.

  3. Nettoyage de l'extérieur : Essuyez l'extérieur du broyeur avec de la publicitéamp Chiffon. N’utilisez pas de nettoyants abrasifs et n’immergez pas l’unité principale dans l’eau.
  4. Cleaning the Burr Mechanism: Use a small brush (not included) to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burr grinding mechanism inside the bean hopper.
  5. Stockage: Rangez le broyeur dans un endroit frais et sec lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé.

Dépannage

  • Unplug the unit, then gently shake or tap the grinder to dislodge beans. Use a brush to clear any blockages in the burr area.

  • Incorrect grind setting for bean type.
  • Clean the burr grinding mechanism thoroughly.
  • Experiment with different grind settings to find the optimal one for your beans and brewing method.
