À propos de l'auteur
Dr. Rüdiger Etzold, born on February 26, 1940, on the North Sea island of Norderney, began his career with an automotive mechanic apprenticeship. After military service and bodywork practice, he studied vehicle technology in Hamburg. He then completed a newspaper traineeship at Stalling-Verlag in Hamburg. In 1968, he moved to Stuttgart to work for the automotive magazine Gute Fahrt as a technical editor and deputy editor-in-chief. In his free time, he wrote the first volume for his "So wird's gemacht" book series, which was published in 1974. To date, over 7 million books have been sold. In 1976, Etzold became an independent automotive publicist. He published in many daily and trade newspapers and wrote the 4-volume VW Beetle documentation. In 1985, Etzold was commissioned to document the corporate history of Audi AG, on which he received his doctorate in Dresden in 1991. Dr. Etzold lives with his wife in Leonberg and maintains an editorial office there.
