E-waste recycling instructions: All electronic waste contains chemicals. Dispose of gadgets and devices improperly increases the chances of these dangerous chemicals contaminating the soil, polluting the air, and leaching into water bodies. Please find an e-waste recycler who is officially certified by the Basel Action Network (BAN).
The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled garbage can on electrical and electronic equipment indicates that the device must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Old devices may contain substances harmful to the environment and human health. Separate collection and recycling prevent negative effects. Old devices often contain sensitive personal data; users are responsible for deleting data before disposal.
You can hand in old appliances at public disposal authorities for proper disposal or reuse. Contact your local collection or take-back point for more information.
