1. Introduction

The LAUNCH CR319 is a powerful and user-friendly OBDII/EOBD scanner designed for diagnosing engine-related issues in vehicles. It provides comprehensive OBDII functions, allowing users to read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), view live data, check I/M readiness, and more. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your CR319 scanner.

2. Mise en route et configuration

The LAUNCH CR319 is a plug-and-play device that requires no batteries or external applications. Simply connect it to your vehicle's OBD2 port.

2.2 Étapes de connexion

1. Localisez le connecteur DLC (Data Link Connector) : The 16-pin OBD2 port is usually located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Refer to your vehicle's manual if you cannot find it.

2. Connectez le scanner : Plug the CR319's diagnostic cable into the vehicle's OBD2 port.

3. Mettre le contact : Mettez le contact du véhicule en position « ON » (moteur éteint ou en marche, selon le test). Le scanner s'allumera automatiquement.

3. Mode d'emploi

Once connected and powered on, the CR319 will display the main menu. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to navigate and the OK button to select.

• Lire les codes : Retrieves Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the vehicle's computer to identify the error location.
• Effacer les codes : Efface les codes d'anomalie et éteint le témoin de dysfonctionnement Lamp (MIL), également connu sous le nom de voyant « Check Engine ».
• Données en direct: Displays real-time information from the engine sensors, such as RPM, vehicle speed, coolant temperature, etc.

• Préparation I/M : Checks the status of emission-related systems to determine if they are operating correctly and ready for inspection/maintenance testing.

Note: While compatible with most cars, regional differences in OBD2 protocol implementation or specific vehicle designs may lead to incompatibility with some models. The scanner supports 12V gasoline cars only; it does not support Diesel, 24V Heavy Duty, Hybrid, or Electric vehicles.

6.1 Problèmes courants

• Pas d'alimentation : Ensure the scanner is correctly plugged into the vehicle's OBD2 port and the ignition is turned 'ON'. Check the vehicle's fuse for the OBD2 port if the issue persists.
• Erreur de communication : This message indicates the scanner cannot establish communication with the vehicle's ECU. Verify the vehicle is OBDII compliant (check year and type), ensure the connection is secure, and try on another compatible vehicle if possible.
• Blocages d'écran : Disconnect the scanner from the vehicle, wait a few seconds, and reconnect. If the issue persists, ensure the software is up to date.
