5. Instructions d'installation

Avant de commencer :

• Ensure the electrical box depth is at least 2 inches (5.08 cm) to accommodate the dimmer switch.
• This dimmer does not require a neutral wire.

Étapes de câblage :

1. Identifier le câblage : Carefully identify the LINE (hot), LOAD, and GROUND wires in your electrical box. For 3-way installations, identify the two TRAVELER wires.
2. Connectez le fil de terre : Connect the green wire from the dimmer switch to the bare copper or green ground wire in the wall box.
3. Câblage unipolaire :
   • Connect one black wire from the dimmer to the LINE (hot) wire.
   • Connect the other black wire from the dimmer to the LOAD wire (to the light fixture).
   • Cap off the red traveler wires, as they are not used in single-pole setups.
4. Câblage à 3 voies :
   • Connect the black wire from the dimmer to the common (LINE or LOAD) wire.
   • Connect the two red traveler wires from the dimmer to the two traveler wires in the wall box.
   • Note: Only one dimmer switch can be installed in a 3-way circuit. The other switch must be a standard 3-way ON/OFF switch.
5. Connexions sécurisées : Use wire nuts to secure all connections. Ensure no bare wire is exposed.

• Before attaching the screwless wall plate, ensure the dimmer switch is level with the wall. If it's not level, the dimmer slider may jam or the wall plate won't fit flush.
• If adjustment is needed, remove the screws, adjust the main body until it's level, and then reinstall.
• Snap the screwless wall plate onto the dimmer switch.

6. Mode d'emploi

Allumer/Éteindre les lumières :

Use the vertical slide control on the right side of the paddle switch to adjust the light intensity. Slide up for brighter light and down for dimmer light.

Fonction mémoire :

The dimmer switch features a memory function. It will recall your last set brightness level when the lights are turned back on.

Minimum Brightness Adjustment:

The dimmer includes a sensitivity dial to set the minimum brightness level, preventing flickering at low settings.

1. Étape 1 : Turn the dimmer on and move the slide to the leftmost (lowest) setting.
2. Étape 2 : Rotate the sensitivity dial (located on the side of the switch, accessible when the wall plate is removed) clockwise to increase the minimum brightness, or counter-clockwise to decrease it.
3. Étape 3 : Adjust the dial slowly until the preferred lowest light level is achieved and the lights are not flickering.

7. Entretien

• Nettoyage: To clean the dimmer switch and wall plate, wipe with a soft, damp chiffon. N'utilisez pas de nettoyants abrasifs ou de solvants.

Lights flicker or hum:

Dimmer switch is hot to the touch:

Wall plate does not sit flush:

• Ensure the dimmer switch is level with the wall before installing the wall plate (refer to Section 5).
