This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient use of your BAFANG Electric Bicycle Battery. This battery is designed for electric bicycles with 500W, 750W, 1000W, and 1500W motors and conversion kits. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your battery.

Your BAFANG battery is equipped with a Battery Management System (BMS) for protection. The BMS safeguards against overheating, low voltage, overcharge, overdischarge, overload, and short circuits, ensuring balanced charging and extending battery life.

Configuration et installation

The battery pack includes a battery case, a battery bottom bracket, a safety lock, and a charger. Installation is designed to be straightforward, ensuring a firm mount that prevents wobbling during rides.

1. Préparez la monture : Ensure your bicycle frame has a compatible mounting area. Note that Parrot battery bases have four holes, while Hailong battery bases have two holes. Verify the dimensions of your battery and mount before proceeding.
2. Attach the Battery Mount: Secure the battery bottom bracket to your bicycle frame using appropriate fasteners (not included, typically part of the bike frame).

Mode d'emploi

Mise sous/hors tension

To power on the battery, turn the key to the 'ON' position and/or press the power switch located on the battery. To power off, reverse the process.

Charger la batterie

Connect the charger to the battery's charging port, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet. The built-in indicator lights will show the charging status:

• 25 % facturés : 1 Red light, 0 Green lights
• 50 % facturés : 1 Red light, 1 Green light
• 75 % facturés : 1 Red light, 2 Green lights
• 100 % facturés : 1 Red light, 3 Green lights

Charging is complete when one red light and three green lights are illuminated simultaneously.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity of your BAFANG battery, which has a lifespan of up to 5 years and over 1000 charging cycles.

• Chargement régulier : Do not allow the battery to remain fully discharged for extended periods. Charge it regularly, even if not in frequent use.
• Stockage: If storing the battery for a long time, ensure it is partially charged (around 50-70%) and kept in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Nettoyage: Keep the battery and its contacts clean and dry. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away any dust or dirt. Avoid using water or harsh chemicals.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the battery case, cables, and connectors for any signs of damage or wear.

The integrated BMS provides comprehensive protection. If you experience issues such as the battery not powering on, not charging, or unexpected shutdowns, consider the following:

• Pas d'alimentation : Check if the battery is securely mounted and locked. Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
• Pas de charge: Verify that the charger is correctly connected to both the battery and the power outlet. Check for any damage to the charger or cables.
• Arrêts soudains : The BMS may have activated due to overcharge, overdischarge, overload, or temperature issues. Allow the battery to cool down or charge it if it's low. Ensure your motor's wattage is within the supported range (50W-1600W).
• Compatibilité: Confirm that the battery interface (Anderson, with XT60 adapter if needed) is correctly connected to your motor.
