1. Introduction

2. Consignes de sécurité

La sécurité doit toujours être votre priorité lors de l'utilisation de machines lourdes. Le non-respect des consignes de sécurité peut entraîner des blessures graves, voire mortelles.

• Lire le manuel : Understand all operating and safety instructions before use.
• Équipement de protection individuelle (EPI) : Portez toujours l'équipement de protection individuelle approprié, notamment des lunettes de sécurité, une protection auditive, des chaussures robustes et des gants.
• Manipulation du carburant : Handle gasoline with extreme care. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke near fuel.
• Ventilation: Operate the compactor in well-ventilated areas to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
• Zone de travail dégagée : Keep bystanders, children, and pets away from the operating area. Remove any obstacles or debris.

3. Configuration et assemblage

Before first use, ensure the compactor is properly assembled and prepared.

3.1 Déballage

• Carefully remove the compactor from its packaging.

3.2 Assemblage de la poignée

Attach the operating handle to the main frame using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.3 Carburant et huile

The engine is a 4-stroke gasoline engine. It requires separate gasoline and engine oil.

• Huile moteur : Remplissez le carter d'huile moteur avec l'huile moteur 4 temps recommandée (reportez-vous au manuel du moteur pour connaître le type et la capacité spécifiques). Ne pas trop remplir.
• Carburant: Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not use mixed fuel. Ensure the fuel cap is securely tightened.

4. Mode d'emploi

4.1 Liste de contrôle avant l'opération

• Vérifiez le niveau d'huile moteur.
• Vérifiez le niveau de carburant.
• Inspectez le filtre à air.
• Assurez-vous que tous les boulons et fixations sont bien serrés.
• Verify the work area is clear of obstructions.

4.2 Démarrage du moteur

1. Ouvrez le robinet de carburant.
2. Déplacez le levier de starter en position « CHOKE » (si le moteur est froid).
3. Set the throttle lever to the "FAST" position.
4. Tirez fermement sur la poignée du lanceur à rappel jusqu'à ce que le moteur démarre.
5. Une fois le moteur démarré, déplacez progressivement le levier de starter en position « MARCHE ».
6. Laissez le moteur chauffer pendant quelques minutes avant de commencer le compactage.

4.3 Procédure de compactage

• Guide the compactor over the area to be compacted. The machine will move forward with each impact.
• Overlap passes slightly to ensure uniform compaction.
• The compactor is effective for friable soils with up to 30% gravel content.
• Achievable compaction depth is typically between 5cm and 15cm, depending on soil type and moisture content.
• The handle is designed with vibration isolation to reduce operator fatigue.

4.4 Arrêt du moteur

1. Déplacez le levier d'accélérateur en position « LENT » ou « RALENTI ».
2. Mettez l'interrupteur du moteur sur la position « ARRÊT ».
3. Fermez le robinet de carburant.

5. Entretien

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your compactor. Always ensure the engine is off and cool before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Vérifications quotidiennes

• Vérifiez le niveau d'huile moteur.
• Vérifiez que le filtre à air ne contient pas de saletés ni de débris. Nettoyez-le ou remplacez-le si nécessaire.
• Check for loose bolts or nuts. Tighten as needed.
• Inspect the bellows (red corrugated boot) for cracks or damage.
• Clean the machine of dirt and debris.

5.2 Changement d'huile moteur

Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 25-50 hours or seasonally, depending on use. Refer to the engine manual for detailed instructions and oil specifications.

5.3 Entretien du filtre à air

Clean the air filter regularly, especially when operating in dusty conditions. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance and lifespan. Wash foam elements in warm, soapy water, rinse, and allow to dry completely before re-oiling lightly.

5.4 Bougie d'allumage

Inspect the spark plug annually or every 100 hours. Clean or replace if electrodes are fouled or worn. Ensure correct gap setting.
