Brick Like This! is a fast-paced and engaging LEGO party game designed to transform the enjoyment of LEGO bricks into a dynamic team experience. This manual provides detailed instructions for game setup, gameplay, and advanced challenges to ensure a fun and exciting experience for all players.

Configuration du jeu

1. Former des équipes : Divide players into teams of two. The game supports 2-8 players.
2. Prepare Construction Cards: Shuffle the 92 Construction Cards and place them face down in a draw pile.
3. Prepare Challenge Cards: If using, shuffle the 20 Challenge Cards and place them face down in a separate draw pile. (Refer to "Advanced Play" for details on when to introduce these).
4. Distribute LEGO Bricks: Place the 48 LEGO bricks in a central area accessible to all teams.
5. Hourglass Placement: Keep the 30-second hourglass within easy reach.

Comment jouer

The game is played over six rounds. Each round involves one player acting as the "explainer" and their teammate as the "builder."

1. Role Assignment: In each round, one player from a team becomes the "explainer" and the other the "builder." Roles rotate each round.
2. Draw a Construction Card: The explainer draws a Construction Card. This card shows a LEGO model to be built.
3. Explain and Build: The explainer describes how to build the form using only LEGO bricks, without showing the card to the builder. The builder attempts to construct the model based on the verbal instructions.
4. Simultaneous Play: All teams play simultaneously.
5. Délai: When the first team successfully completes their model, the 30-second hourglass is flipped. All other teams then have 30 seconds to complete their current model.
6. Notation : Teams earn points based on the difficulty of the model successfully built. More complex models yield higher points. Incorrectly built models receive zero points for that round.
7. Gagnant: After six rounds, the team with the highest total score wins.

Advanced Play: Challenge Cards

For an increased level of difficulty and additional points, incorporate the Challenge Cards after players are familiar with the basic game mechanics.

• Introducing Challenges: At the start of a round, a Challenge Card can be drawn in addition to the Construction Card.
• Challenge Effects: These cards introduce restrictions or modifications to gameplay. Examples incluent :
• Builder with eyes closed: The builder must attempt to build without seeing the bricks or the model.
• One-handed building: The builder can only use one hand.
• Silent communication: The explainer cannot speak, relying on gestures or other non-verbal cues.
• Restricted vocabulary: The explainer cannot use numbers or colors in their description.
• Points bonus : Successfully completing a model under a Challenge Card grants extra points.
