1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your iScooter iX8 Electric Scooter. Please read this manual thoroughly before your first ride to ensure proper use and to maximize the lifespan of your scooter. Retain this manual for future reference.

2. Consignes de sécurité

L’utilisation d’une trottinette électrique comporte des risques inhérents. Pour minimiser ces risques, veuillez toujours respecter les consignes de sécurité suivantes :

• Portez toujours un casque et un équipement de protection approprié (genouillères, coudières, gants) lorsque vous conduisez.
• Familiarisez-vous avec les lois et réglementations locales concernant l'utilisation des trottinettes électriques.
• Ne roulez pas sous l’influence de l’alcool ou de drogues.
• Maintenez une vitesse et une distance de sécurité par rapport aux autres véhicules et aux piétons.
• Avoid riding in heavy traffic, on slippery surfaces, or in adverse weather conditions (rain, snow, strong winds).
• Perform a pre-ride inspection before each use, checking brakes, tire pressure, and all connections.
• Ensure all lights are functional, especially when riding at dusk or night.

4. Mise en place et préparation initiale

The iScooter iX8 arrives approximately 90% pre-assembled. Follow these steps for final assembly and initial preparation:

1. Déballage: Retirez soigneusement le scooter et tous ses composants de l'emballage.
2. Installation du guidon : Attach the handlebars to the stem. Ensure they are securely fastened using the provided screws and screwdriver.
3. Déplier le scooter : Locate the folding mechanism (usually a latch or lever near the base of the steering column). Release it and carefully raise the steering column until it locks into place. Ensure it is fully locked before use.
4. Réglage de la hauteur du guidon : The handlebars are adjustable. Loosen the quick-release clamp on the steering column, adjust to a comfortable height, and then securely tighten the clamp.

5. Charge initiale de la batterie : Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the scooter's charging port and then to a power outlet. The charging indicator on the charger will change color (e.g., red to green) when fully charged. New batteries typically reach optimal range after the second full charge cycle.
6. Vérification de la pression des pneus : Verify that the 12-inch pneumatic off-road tires are inflated to the recommended pressure. Refer to the tire sidewall for specific pressure recommendations.

5. Mode d'emploi

5.1 Mise sous/hors tension et affichage

To power on the scooter, press and hold the power button on the Smart LCD screen. Press and hold again to power off. The display shows speed, battery level, and other riding information.

5.2 Speed Modes and Dual Motor Control

The iX8 features dual 1200W motors and multiple speed settings. You can switch between single and dual-drive modes. Speed options range up to 61 km/h in dual-drive mode. Use the control keyboard to select your desired speed mode (e.g., ECO, RACE, SPORT) and motor configuration.

5.3 Système de freinage

The scooter is equipped with dual disc brakes and electronic cut-off brakes for reliable stopping power. Always apply brakes smoothly and gradually to avoid sudden stops, especially at higher speeds or on uneven terrain.

5.4 Éclairage et clignotants

The iX8 includes a bright U5 headlight, integrated turn signals, colorful deck side lights, and a rear safety tail light. Ensure all lights are on when riding in low-light conditions or at night. Use the turn signal button to indicate your direction changes.

5.5 Mécanisme de pliage

For storage and transport, the iX8 features a quick folding mechanism. To fold, ensure the scooter is powered off. Locate the folding latch/lever on the steering column, release it, and carefully fold the column down towards the deck until it locks into its folded position. Reverse the process to unfold.

5.6 Conduite sur différents types de terrains

Equipped with 12-inch off-road pneumatic tires and dual suspension, the iX8 is designed to handle a variety of surfaces. While capable on rough trails, exercise caution and reduce speed when riding on uneven, slippery, or loose terrain.

6. Entretien

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your iX8 scooter:

• Nettoyage: Essuyez le scooter avec de la publicitéamp En tissu. Ne pas utiliser d'eau à haute pression ni immerger le scooter dans l'eau.
• Entretien de la batterie:
  • Rechargez régulièrement la batterie, même si elle n'est pas utilisée, afin de préserver sa durée de vie.
  • Évitez de vider complètement la batterie.
  • Store the scooter in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods, with the battery charged to about 50-70%.
• Entretien des pneus :
  • Vérifiez la pression des pneus avant chaque sortie.
  • Vérifiez l'état de vos pneus : usure, crevaisons ou dommages. Remplacez rapidement les pneus usés.
• Inspection des freins : Regularly check the brake levers and disc brakes for proper function and wear. Adjust or replace brake components as needed.
• Fixations : Vérifiez régulièrement que toutes les vis et tous les boulons sont bien serrés.
• Suspension: Inspect the suspension components for any signs of damage or excessive wear.
