4. Configuration et installation

Proper setup is crucial for optimal performance. These oil-filled shocks require initial filling with shock oil (not included) and careful assembly.

4.1 Shock Oil Filling

The shocks are shipped without oil or with minimal oil. It is essential to fill them with appropriate weight shock oil for your specific driving conditions and desired damping characteristics. Refer to the exploded view pour l'identification des composants.

  • Disassemble the shock by carefully removing the top cap and spring.
  • Slowly fill the shock body with your chosen shock oil, ensuring no air bubbles are trapped.
  • Gently move the shock shaft up and down to release any trapped air. Allow the shock to sit for a few minutes to let air bubbles rise.
  • Top off the oil if necessary, ensuring the oil level is just above the piston when the shaft is fully compressed.
  • Reinstall the top cap, being careful not to overtighten. The excess oil will be pushed out.
  • Test the shock's movement for smooth, consistent damping.

4.2 Pre-load Adjustment

The shocks feature threaded bodies for quick pre-load adjustments. Rotate the threaded collar on the shock body to compress or decompress the spring, adjusting the ride height and stiffness of your RC buggy.

4.3 Installation on Vehicle

Mount the shocks to your Losi Micro-B or Micro-T buggy using the provided hardware. Ensure all screws are securely fastened but do not overtighten to avoid damaging components. The nylon bottom rod ends offer flexibility during installation and use.

5. Considérations opérationnelles

Once installed and properly filled, your INJORA Aluminum Oil Shocks will provide improved damping and handling for your RC buggy. Experiment with different shock oil viscosities and spring pre-load settings to fine-tune performance for various terrains and driving styles.

6. Entretien

Oil-filled shocks require regular maintenance to ensure consistent performance and longevity. The shock oil can break down or become dirty over time, affecting dampcaractéristiques.

  • Inspection régulière : Periodically check the shocks for leaks, bent shafts, or damaged rod ends.
  • Remplacement d'huile : Replace the shock oil as needed, especially after heavy use or if performance degrades. The frequency depends on usage and environment.
  • Nettoyage: Keep the shock shafts clean to prevent dirt and debris from entering the shock body and contaminating the oil or damaging seals.

7. Dépannage

  • Inconsistent Dampment: This is often caused by air bubbles in the shock oil or insufficient oil. Re-bleed and refill the shocks as described in Section 4.1.
  • Fuite d'huile : Check for damaged O-rings or seals. Ensure the top cap is securely tightened. Replace worn components if necessary.
  • Hauteur de caisse inégale : Verify that the spring pre-load is set equally on both sides (front and rear). Also, check for bent shock shafts or damaged springs.
