1. Introduction

2. Consignes de sécurité

Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the Nilfisk Advance SC450. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or damage to the equipment.

  • Formation des opérateurs : Only trained and authorized personnel should operate this machine.

3. Mise en place et préparation initiale

3.1 Déballage et inspection

Carefully remove the scrubber from its packaging. Inspect the machine for any signs of shipping damage. Report any damage to your supplier immediately.

3.2 Installation et charge de la batterie

The SC450 uses two 105 Ah wet batteries (part number 56206962).

  1. Ouvrez le compartiment à piles.
  2. Carefully place the batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity when connecting the terminals.
  3. Fermez soigneusement le compartiment à piles.
  4. Connect the onboard battery charger (115 VAC / 24 VDC) to a suitable power outlet. Allow the batteries to fully charge before first use. Refer to the battery manufacturer's instructions for specific charging guidelines.

3.3 Installation des brosses

The scrubber is equipped with a 20-inch (51 cm) disc brush, typically a Prolene brush (part number L08837025).

  1. Ensure the machine is turned off and the key is removed.
  2. Tilt the machine back to access the brush deck.
  3. Align the brush with the drive hub and push upwards until it locks into place.
  4. Gently lower the machine.

4. Mode d'emploi

4.1 Remplissage du réservoir de solution

The solution tank has a capacity of 10.5 gallons (39.75 liters).

  1. Open the solution tank fill port.
  2. Pour the recommended cleaning solution, diluted according to the manufacturer's instructions, into the tank. Do not overfill.
  3. Fermez soigneusement l'orifice de remplissage.

  2. Engage the brush motor and solution flow controls as needed for the cleaning task.

4.3 Scrubbing Process

Walk behind the machine at a steady pace, guiding it over the area to be cleaned. The SC450's low noise level (68 dB(A)) allows for daytime cleaning without significant disruption. The automatic squeegee release mechanism helps prevent damage if the squeegee encounters obstacles, extending its lifespan.

4.4 Emptying the Recovery Tank

The recovery tank has a capacity of 11.9 gallons (45.05 liters). Empty the recovery tank after each use or when it is full.

  2. Locate the drain hose at the rear of the machine.
  3. Direct the drain hose into a suitable drain or disposal area.
  4. Remove the cap from the drain hose to allow the dirty water to flow out.
  5. Once empty, replace the cap and secure the drain hose.

5. Entretien

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Nilfisk Advance SC450.

5.1 Entretien quotidien

  • Clean Recovery Tank: After emptying, rinse the recovery tank thoroughly. The large recovery tank and removable lid facilitate easy cleaning.
  • Clean Solution Tank: Rinse the solution tank to prevent chemical buildup.
  • Inspect Squeegee Blades: Check for wear or damage. Clean any debris from the blades.
  • Inspect Brush/Pad: Remove any debris from the brush or pad. Replace if worn.
