1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, setup, and maintenance of your TOTAL Lithium-ion Air Compressor, model TACLI2003. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the compressor and retain it for future reference.

2. Consignes de sécurité

  • Sécurité électrique : This unit operates on 40V (2x20V) lithium-ion batteries. Ensure batteries and charger (not included) are compatible with TOTAL 20V tools. Do not expose the compressor to rain or wet conditions.
  • Sécurité personnelle : Always wear eye protection. Use hearing protection when operating the compressor for extended periods. Do not overreach; maintain proper footing and balance at all times.
  • Compressor Use and Care: Do not operate the compressor if the power switch does not turn it on and off. Disconnect the battery pack before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the compressor. Store idle compressors out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the compressor or these instructions to operate it.

5. Installation

5.1 Installation de la batterie

  1. Ensure the compressor's power switch is in the 'OFF' position.
  2. Locate the two battery compartments on the side of the compressor (refer to Figure 5).
  3. Insert two fully charged TOTAL 20V lithium-ion batteries (2.0Ah or 4.0Ah compatible) into the compartments until they click securely into place.
  4. To remove batteries, press the release tabs on each battery and pull them out.

5.2 Accessoires de connexion

  1. Identify the quick-connect air outlet on the compressor.
  2. Select the appropriate accessory (e.g., air needle, valve adaptor) for your task.
  3. Attach the accessory to an air hose (not included) and then connect the air hose to the compressor's air outlet. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leaks.

6. Mode d'emploi

6.1 Powering On and Initial Pressure Build-up

  1. With batteries installed and accessories connected, ensure the pressure regulator knob (Figure 3) is turned fully counter-clockwise to the lowest setting.
  2. Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The compressor will begin to fill the 6L air tank.
  3. Monitor the tank pressure gauge. The compressor will automatically shut off once the maximum tank pressure (9.3 bar / 135 psi) is reached.

6.2 Réglage de la pression de sortie

  1. Once the tank is full, slowly turn the pressure regulator knob clockwise to increase the output pressure.
  2. Observe the output pressure gauge to set the desired working pressure for your tool or inflation task.
  3. Never exceed the recommended pressure for the item being inflated or the connected air tool.

6.3 Fonctionnement

  1. Engage your air tool or begin inflation. The compressor will cycle on and off automatically to maintain the set output pressure as air is consumed.
  2. When finished, turn the power switch to 'OFF'.
  3. Release any remaining pressure from the air hose and tool before disconnecting.

7. Entretien

Un entretien régulier garantit des performances optimales et prolonge la durée de vie de votre compresseur d'air.

  • Tous les jours:
    • Inspect the compressor for any visible damage, loose connections, or air leaks.
    • Check the air filter (if accessible) for excessive dirt and clean if necessary.
  • Weekly/After Each Use:

    • Ensure the pressure relief valve (Figure 8) operates freely by pulling its ring briefly to release a small amount of air.
