3. Installation

3.1 Mounting the Reel

3.2 Spooling Fishing Line

1. Open the side plate and ensure the spool is empty and clean.

3. Tie the line to the spool using an arbor knot or a similar secure knot.

Adjust the star drag during a fight with a fish to apply appropriate pressure. Increase drag to gain control, decrease drag to prevent line breakage, especially when a fish makes a strong run. Always test your drag setting before fishing.

• Apply a small amount of high-quality reel oil to moving parts such as the handle knobs, spool shaft, and worm gear.
• Apply a thin layer of reel grease to the main gears if you are comfortable disassembling the reel. If not, professional servicing is recommended.
• Inspect the line for wear and tear, and replace if necessary.

5.3 Stockage

Store your reel in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a reel cover or case to protect it from dust and physical damage.
