1. Consignes de sécurité importantes

Please read these instructions carefully before using the SOGO Deluxe Toaster SS-5390. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Ne touchez pas les surfaces chaudes. Utilisez les poignées ou les boutons.

• N’essayez pas de déloger les aliments lorsque le grille-pain est branché.
• Branchez toujours la fiche à l'appareil en premier, puis le cordon d'alimentation à la prise murale. Pour débrancher l'appareil, placez une commande sur « Off », puis retirez la fiche de la prise murale.

3. Installation

1. Déballage: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Retain packaging for storage or return if necessary.
2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure adequate ventilation around the toaster.
3. Première utilisation : Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (7) a few times to burn off any manufacturing residues. This may produce a slight odor and smoke, which is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

4. Mode d'emploi

1. Insérer le pain : Place one or two slices of bread into the long toasting slot.
2. Sélectionnez le niveau de brunissage : Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting, from 1 (lightest) to 7 (darkest). Start with a medium setting (e.g., 3 or 4) and adjust according to preference.
3. Commencez à griller : Press the lever down until it locks into place. The LED indicator for the Cancel button will illuminate, and the toasting cycle will begin.

5. Retirer le toast : Carefully remove the toast from the slot. Be cautious as the toast and surrounding metal surfaces will be hot.

5. Fonctions spéciales

The SOGO Deluxe Toaster SS-5390 includes three special functions for enhanced versatility:

• Fonction de dégivrage :
  To toast frozen bread, insert the bread and press the lever down. Then, press the DÉGIVRER button. The LED indicator for Defrost will light up. This function adds extra time to the toasting cycle to properly defrost and toast frozen items.
• Fonction de réchauffage :
  To warm up already toasted bread without further browning, insert the bread and press the lever down. Then, press the RÉCHAUFFER button. The LED indicator for Reheat will light up. This cycle is shorter and uses less heat.
• Fonction d'annulation :
  Pour interrompre le cycle de grillage à tout moment, appuyez sur le bouton. ANNULER button. The lever will immediately pop up, and the toaster will turn off.

6. Nettoyage et entretien

1. Débranchez et refroidissez : Débranchez toujours le grille-pain de la prise électrique et laissez-le refroidir complètement avant de le nettoyer.
