The VTSYIQI VTS-160A Water Activity Meter is designed to measure the water activity of various food products. 4. Installation
4.1 Installation de la batterie
- Repérez le compartiment à piles à l'arrière de l'appareil.
- Faites glisser le couvercle de la batterie pour l'ouvrir.
- Insert two 1.5V AAA (UM-4) batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Fermez soigneusement le couvercle de la batterie.

5. Procédure d'exploitation
5.1 Measuring Water Activity
- Appuyez sur le Pouvoir key to switch on the meter. The gauge will enter auto mode, automatically initiating the water activity test.
- Placez votre sample dans un espace propreample plate. Ensure the sample is representative and fills the plate adequately without overflowing.
- Carefully cover the sensor of the meter onto the sample plate, ensuring a good seal.
- Allow approximately 5 minutes for the reading to stabilize. Once stable, the water activity value will be displayed on the LCD.
- After testing, press and hold the Pouvoir key for approximately 3 seconds to turn off the meter.
- Nettoyer le sample plate thoroughly after each use to prevent cross-contamination and ensure accurate future readings.

6. Reading Correction (Calibration)
If it becomes necessary to correct the reading value, follow these steps:
- Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le Pouvoir touche pendant environ 7 secondes.
- Release the key when the signal 'Cor' appears on the display. A decimal number with two places, representing the current correction value, will be shown.
- Open the battery cover on the back of the meter. Below the battery slot, you will find two small holes.
- Using a small, hard, non-conductive tool (e.g., a small screwdriver or toothpick), gently touch the key inside the left hole to increase the correction value.
- Gently touch the key inside the right hole to decrease the correction value. Adjust the value as needed.
- Appuyez sur le Pouvoir key again to confirm the new correction value. The measured reading will update, and the calibration is complete.

7. Entretien
7.1 Nettoyage
- Nettoyez toujours les sample plate immediately after each use to prevent residue buildup, which can affect measurement accuracy.
- Utilisez un chiffon doux et sec.amp cloth to wipe the exterior of the meter. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure no liquids enter the sensor area or battery compartment.
7.2 Stockage
- When not in use, store the meter in its carrying case to protect it from dust and physical damage.
- Conserver dans un endroit frais et sec, à l'abri de la lumière directe du soleil et des températures extrêmes.
- Retirez les piles si l'appareil ne doit pas être utilisé pendant une période prolongée afin d'éviter toute fuite.
8. Dépannage
If you encounter issues with your VTS-160A Water Activity Meter, consider the following:
- Pas d'alimentation : Vérifiez que les piles sont correctement installées et suffisamment chargées. Remplacez-les si nécessaire.
- Lectures inexactes : Assurez-vous que le sample plate is clean and the sensor is properly seated on the sample. Perform a reading correction as described in Section 6. Verify that the operating conditions (temperature, humidity) are within the specified range.
- Lectures lentes : Assurez-vous que le sample is properly prepared and the environment is stable.
- Problèmes d'affichage : Si l'écran est faiblement lumineux ou clignote, remplacez les piles.
