1. Mise en place et préparation initiale

Before operating your Brother sewing machine, ensure it is properly set up and prepared for use. Follow these steps carefully.

1.1 Déballage et branchement électrique

1.2 Enroulement de la bobine

  1. Placez une bobine de fil sur le porte-bobine.
  2. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide and around the pre-tension disc.
  3. Insert the empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
  4. Wrap the thread clockwise around the bobbin several times.

  6. Press the foot controller gently to start winding. Stop when the bobbin is full and push the spindle back to the left.

1.3 Enfilage du filetage supérieur

  5. Bring the thread down the right channel, up the left channel, and through the take-up lever from right to left.

  7. Thread the needle from front to back. Pull about 6 inches of thread through the needle eye.

1.4 Insertion de la bobine

  1. Ouvrez le couvercle de la canette.
  2. Insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case with the thread unwinding counter-clockwise.
  3. Guide the thread into the tension spring slot.
  4. Fermez le couvercle de la canette.
  5. Hold the upper thread lightly and turn the handwheel towards you to bring the bobbin thread up through the needle plate hole.

  1. Place the fabric under the presser foot, aligning the edge with a seam guide line on the needle plate.

  4. Guide the fabric gently with both hands, but do not push or pull it forcefully.

3. Maintenance et entretien

3.1 Nettoyage de la zone de la canette

  • Éteignez la machine et débranchez-la de la prise de courant.

  • Open the bobbin cover plate and remove the bobbin.
  • Remove the bobbin case and the feed dog cover plate (if applicable).
  • Use the small brush provided with your machine to remove lint and dust from the bobbin case, feed dogs, and surrounding areas.

3.2 Remplacement de l'aiguille

  • Éteignez la machine et débranchez-la.
