1. Mise en place et préparation initiale
Before operating your Brother sewing machine, ensure it is properly set up and prepared for use. Follow these steps carefully.
1.1 Déballage et branchement électrique
- Retirez délicatement la machine de son emballage. Conservez tous les matériaux d'emballage pour un transport ou un stockage ultérieur.
- Placez la machine sur une surface stable et plane.
- Branchez la fiche de la pédale de commande à la prise de la pédale de commande de la machine.
- Insert the machine's power cord into the power supply socket, then plug the other end into a suitable wall outlet.

1.2 Enroulement de la bobine
- Placez une bobine de fil sur le porte-bobine.
- Guide the thread through the upper thread guide and around the pre-tension disc.
- Insert the empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
- Wrap the thread clockwise around the bobbin several times.
- Poussez l’axe du bobineur de canette vers la droite.
- Press the foot controller gently to start winding. Stop when the bobbin is full and push the spindle back to the left.
- Trim the thread.

1.3 Enfilage du filetage supérieur
- Relevez l'aiguille à sa position la plus haute en tournant le volant vers vous.
- Relevez le levier du pied-de-biche.
- Placez la bobine de fil sur le porte-bobine.
- Faites passer le fil à travers le guide-fil supérieur.
- Bring the thread down the right channel, up the left channel, and through the take-up lever from right to left.
- Continuez à guider le fil vers le bas, jusqu'au guide-fil de la barre d'aiguille.
- Thread the needle from front to back. Pull about 6 inches of thread through the needle eye.

1.4 Insertion de la bobine
- Ouvrez le couvercle de la canette.
- Insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case with the thread unwinding counter-clockwise.
- Guide the thread into the tension spring slot.
- Fermez le couvercle de la canette.
- Hold the upper thread lightly and turn the handwheel towards you to bring the bobbin thread up through the needle plate hole.
- Tirez les deux fils (supérieur et de canette) sous le pied presseur et vers l'arrière de la machine.
2. Operating Your Sewing Machine
This section covers the basic operations and functions of your Brother LS2125, LS2125i, or LS2129 sewing machine.
2.1 Sélection des points
- Turn the stitch selector dial to choose your desired stitch pattern (e.g., straight stitch, zigzag stitch).
- Refer to the stitch chart on the machine or in this manual for available patterns.

- Use the stitch length dial to adjust the length of your stitches. Longer stitches are suitable for basting, shorter for fine work.
- Use the stitch width dial (if available for the selected stitch) to adjust the width of zigzag or decorative stitches.
2.3 Bases de la couture
- Place the fabric under the presser foot, aligning the edge with a seam guide line on the needle plate.

- Gently press the foot controller to start sewing. The machine will begin stitching.
- Guide the fabric gently with both hands, but do not push or pull it forcefully.
- Pour faire une couture en marche arrière (pour sécuriser les coutures), appuyez sur le levier/bouton de marche arrière et maintenez-le enfoncé.
- When finished, raise the needle to its highest position, raise the presser foot, and pull the fabric towards the back.
- Cut the threads using the thread cutter on the machine or scissors.

3. Maintenance et entretien

3.1 Nettoyage de la zone de la canette
- Éteignez la machine et débranchez-la de la prise de courant.
- Retirez l'aiguille et le pied-de-biche.
- Open the bobbin cover plate and remove the bobbin.
- Remove the bobbin case and the feed dog cover plate (if applicable).
- Use the small brush provided with your machine to remove lint and dust from the bobbin case, feed dogs, and surrounding areas.
- Remontez toutes les pièces.

3.2 Remplacement de l'aiguille
- Éteignez la machine et débranchez-la.
- Relevez l'aiguille à sa position la plus haute.
- Desserrez l'aiguille clamp Visser en tournant dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre.
- Retirez l'ancienne aiguille.
- Insérez une nouvelle aiguille, la face plate tournée vers l'arrière de la machine, en la poussant vers le haut au maximum.
- Serrez le goujon de l'aiguilleamp visser solidement.
3.3 Oiling (If Applicable)
Your Brother LS2125 series machine is designed to require minimal oiling. Refer to your specific model's detailed manual for oiling points, if any are recommended. Over-oiling can cause issues.
