5. Installation
5.1 Installation de la batterie
- Capteur extérieur : Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless outdoor sensor. Insert 2 x AAA 1.5V Micro batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
- Unité principale : Open the battery compartment on the back of the main weather station unit. Insert 3 x AA 1.5V Mignon batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely. The unit will power on and begin searching for the DCF-77 time signal and the outdoor sensor.
Remarque importante :
- Installez toujours les piles d'abord dans le capteur extérieur, puis dans l'unité principale, afin de garantir une synchronisation correcte.
- Ensure all batteries are new and of the same type. Do not mix different battery types or brands.
5.2 Emplacement du capteur
Place the wireless outdoor sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated location outdoors, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation. Avoid placing it near heat sources (e.g., exhaust vents) or large metal objects that could interfere with the wireless signal. The maximum transmission range is 100 meters in an open field; walls and obstacles will reduce this range.
The main unit can be placed on a table or mounted on a wall using the provided material.
5.3 Configuration initiale et synchronisation de l'heure
After battery installation, the main unit will automatically attempt to receive the DCF-77 radio time signal from Frankfurt, Germany. This process can take several minutes to several hours, depending on your location and environmental conditions. Once the signal is received, the time, date, and day of the week will be set automatically.
- Réglage manuel de l'heure : If the DCF-77 signal is not received or if you are outside its reception range, you can set the time manually. Refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for details on manual time adjustment.
- Ajustement du fuseau horaire : If you are in a different time zone than the DCF-77 signal (CET), you can adjust the time zone offset.
- Changement d'heure automatique (été/hiver) : The station automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time (DST).
6. Mode d'emploi
6.1 Display Modes and Buttons
The main unit features several buttons for navigating menus and adjusting settings. Consult the specific button labels on your device for exact functions. Common buttons include MODE, SET, UP/+, DOWN/-, ALARM, SNOOZE/LIGHT.
6.2 Paramètres d'heure et de date
- Manual Time/Date: In normal time display mode, press and hold the SET button to enter manual setting mode. Use UP/+ and DOWN/- buttons to adjust values (e.g., year, month, day, hour, minute) and SET to confirm and move to the next setting.
- Format 12/24 heures : Toggle between 12-hour (with AM/PM indicator) and 24-hour format.
- Fuseau horaire: Adjust the time zone offset from the DCF-77 signal.
6.3 fonctions d'alarme
- Wake-up Alarm: Appuyez sur le bouton ALARME pour view or set the wake-up alarm time. Use SET to enter setting mode and UP/DOWN to adjust. Press SNOOZE/LIGHT to activate snooze when the alarm sounds.
- Weather Alarms: The station allows setting upper and lower alarm limits for indoor/outdoor temperature, indoor/outdoor humidity, dew point, and atmospheric pressure (storm warning). When a parameter exceeds or falls below its set limit, the station will emit an audible and visual alert for 120 seconds. Refer to your device's specific menu for setting these limits.
6.4 Weather Data Display
- Unités de température : Basculez entre l'affichage en degrés Celsius (°C) et en degrés Fahrenheit (°F).
- Mémoire min/max : View the minimum and maximum recorded values for temperature and humidity. Press a specific button (often MEM or MIN/MAX) to cycle through these values.
- Pression atmosphérique: Display pressure in hPa or inHg. You can view relative or absolute pressure and manually calibrate the reading. The station also shows a 24-hour pressure history diagram.
- Prévisions météorologiques: The station provides a weather forecast based on atmospheric pressure changes, displayed using intuitive symbols (e.g., sunny, cloudy, rainy). A weather trend indicator may also be present.
6.5 Rétroéclairage
Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to activate the display backlight for a few seconds, improving readability in low-light conditions.
7. Entretien
7.1 Nettoyage
Clean the main unit and outdoor sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surfaces. Ensure no moisture enters the battery compartments or other openings.
7.2 Remplacement de la batterie
When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the respective unit (main unit or sensor). Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time with new batteries of the same type. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1.
8. Dépannage
| Problème | Cause possible | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Aucun affichage sur l'unité principale ni sur le capteur. | Les piles sont déchargées ou mal insérées. | Vérifiez la polarité des piles et remplacez-les par des piles neuves. |

|
| DCF-77 time signal not received. | Interference, weak signal, or location outside reception range. |
|
| Prévisions météorologiques inexactes. | Weather forecasts are based on barometric pressure trends and are not always 100% accurate. | This is normal. The forecast is an indication, not a guarantee. Ensure manual pressure calibration is correct if applicable. |
| Outdoor sensor damaged by water. | Exposure to heavy rain or direct water spray. | The sensor is not fully waterproof. Ensure it is placed in a sheltered location, protected from direct precipitation. |
