2. Clean the glass carafe and the removable filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly under running water.

3. Place the reusable filter into the filter basket. If preferred, you may use a standard paper filter instead.
4. Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, but adjust to your personal taste.

Programming Auto-Brew

1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio, e.g., 1 cup vinegar to 2 cups water).

4. After the cycle is complete, let the mixture sit in the carafe for 15-20 minutes to allow the vinegar to work on any remaining deposits.

6. Run 2-3 full brewing cycles with fresh, clean water to remove any residual vinegar taste or odor.
