1. Introduction

The Insteon Smart 8-Button Dimmer Keypad (Model 2334-222) is a versatile device designed to replace a standard light switch, offering both local dimming control and the ability to manage up to seven additional Insteon devices or scenes. This keypad integrates seamlessly into your Insteon home automation system, providing convenient control over your lighting and appliances. It requires an Insteon Hub for advanced features like smartphone control and voice integration with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

4. Configuration et installation

4.1 Liste de contrôle de pré-installation

3. Connect the Insteon Keypad Dimmer wires to your home's wiring using the provided wire nuts:

4.3 Mounting and Power On

1. Carefully fold the wires into the electrical box, ensuring no wires are pinched.
2. Mount the Insteon Keypad Dimmer into the electrical box using the provided screws.
3. Attach the wall plate (sold separately) over the keypad.
4. Restore power at the circuit breaker. The keypad's LEDs should illuminate.

4.4 Linking with Insteon Hub and App

For full functionality, including remote control, scene creation, and voice assistant integration, link your Keypad Dimmer to an Insteon Hub and the Insteon Home app.

1. Download the Insteon Home app from your device's app store.
2. Follow the in-app instructions to add your Insteon Hub (if not already set up).
3. Within the app, select to add a new device and follow the prompts to link your Keypad Dimmer. You may be instructed to press the Set button on the keypad until you hear a double-beep.

5. Mode d'emploi

5.1 Basic On/Off and Dimming

The top-left button, labeled "MAIN On/Off", controls the directly wired load (e.g., lights connected to the dimmer).

• Robinet: Toggles the connected lights On or Off.

5.2 Contrôle de scène

The remaining seven buttons (labeled B through H) can be programmed to control other Insteon devices or activate custom lighting scenes throughout your home. Each button features a backlit LED to indicate the status of the linked device or scene.

• Programmation: Use the Insteon Home app to link these buttons to individual devices (e.g., Insteon LED Bulbs, plug-in modules) or to create complex scenes (e.g., "Goodnight" scene that turns off all lights).
• Activation : Tap a scene button to activate or deactivate the programmed scene or device.
• Indication d'état : The LED next to each scene button will light up to show if the linked device or scene is active.

6. Entretien

The Insteon Keypad Dimmer requires minimal maintenance.
